sorry but no. teams with ambition have tried to grow crowds, they've put plenty of work into marketing a family game on a sunday or a friday night out and sold season tickets on the back of fixture lists that come out in November only for sky to come along and undo all the hard work and leave them with an unworkable mess.
we dont know whether we are playing thursday friday saturday or sunday, the odd monday or wednesday thrown in for good measure, and suddenly a season ticket might not be a great value idea if theres 4 or 5 games you might not be able to make in a season.
would they buy tickets to a gig or the theatre without knowing when the performance was? - no but they expect us to!

I think the Sky presentation team, apart from Carney, need a complete overhaul. As said by others, JJB is a real enthusiast for our game and very knowledgeable but you can barely understand a word he is saying. Super dull Bill is just appalling and Tez is worse than that. Wells, Clarkey and Barry are just about bearable but a major refresh is desperately needed.

Agree with Jools, the fixture date movement doesn't help and Thursday night games are a real crowd killer especially when it is two teams from different sides of the pennines.

We need SKY to get European football back off BT as the Europa League and Conference would keep them busy on Thursday's. Sadly the Premier League muscled in on our Saturday teatime slot that used to work well in my eyes, enjoyed going to a game then having a Saturday night out for afters.

Doesn't seem to matter with football crowds. You don't see Anfield all of a sudden half empty because the game is moved to 12.30 or to a Monday night.

Thursday nights are terrible say RL fans. Other sports still fill their grounds though.

Just noticed via a targeted ad on social media that rugby union have "premiership rugby TV" £6.99 to watch all 3 games that aren't on BT sport this weekend. We need to negotiate something similar for our next TV deal...either every game is on sky/bt or the rest are available via streaming

Good idea, but sadly that will just see crowds drop at matches.

This! I got 3 games out of my ST this season! A spate of Thursday night games early doors I couldn't attend and then when I had Thursday and Friday available due to my rolling shifts the games were played on a Sunday then a Saturday! £100 a game! BTW I binned off Sky too and got WatchNRL for £130 a year and Premier Sports for £9 a month for my RL fix. WatchNRL is top notch. Every game every weekend available when you want to watch it, Origin games and a range of NRL-related shows. I've enjoyed seeing the Championship games on a Monday too.

I haven't missed a home game personally.

I briefly flicked over to sky this afternoon and you could really tell the difference in quality between them and channel 4.
