Leigh were not that special today, london were poor! Todays Leigh squad will lose its core of overseas players, they will struggle next year as cannot see where they are going to recruit from. But, some poor execution from London today, dropped ball and dumb last set play. No doubt we would have still lost but by a much better score line and some pride
After securing the championship title last week, Leigh put in a training session and still got 50.

So what? Leigh rolled over a part-time team using their full-time team stuffed with overseas players. They will get murdered in SL every week unless they find about 8 UK players of SL standard. But Leigh fans are generally a good laugh, I'm looking forward to seeing them again in 2024.

Well just to fill you in, Leigh have already signed Superleague players for next season, whether we are in Superleague or not.
If franchising is coming, it will surely bypass Leigh. You add no credibility to the competition unlike say Toulouse or a properly funded & run London. There is no future for RL just in the north as most clubs will be broke before the "Powerhouse" effect gets going, if it ever does. Admire your optimism though.

BTW - I believe you don't have any trophies next to your wooden spoons.
Admire your spirit Cokey. Top trolling. However, you’ve gone down a blind alley here. The idea behind franchising is it unfairly discriminates against areas of rich rugby league history but little national ‘reach’, like Leigh, in favour of places like London. So in that scenario it would be London that had a good payday not Leigh. In fact it may be one of the only ways we can get back into SL unless we get our act together. Anyway I bear no grudge if you can’t have a pop when you’re on the up when can you. I think you’ll do OK next year:your recruitment approach seems sensible. Mind you it’s not easy to stay up as Wakefield have enough about them to just get over the line but we’ll see.
