The irony of Odsal being redeveloped and reaching it's full potential and no Bulls to play in it!
Now we see why Wood was reluctant to let the fall guy Sawyer relinquish control of the club. As someone said Wood works well politically. Well we all know politicians are corrupt and self serving. If anybody is thinking about buying a season ticket for next season, beware and keep hold of your money is my advice.

Right, here's what's happening...
I am winning the £108m on the Euro tonight ad I'll repay the loan and provide an enhanced playing budget for next year that will guarantee us the play offs..
Well, there's more chance of that than a new stadium anyway...
We need to know, how much the loan is, what it was for, and how much we have to repay this year.
Someone has to come out and say something. Probably going to finish 9th this year and potentially smaller buget next year. Is this some sort of sick joke. Time for someone to put their hand in their pocket.

In that case, please remember I’ve always liked you and thought your posts were very reasonable. I look forward to cheering on the Bradford Scary Bulls

It stinks doesn’t it? They won’t come out with any of that information but it’s the only way they’ll convince people there’s nothing untoward going on.

This latest revelation shows that Chalmers took the club from having zero debt in January 2017 to near bankruptcy in under 3 years. The sheer incompetence of the man is laid bare. This was someone who spoke at fans forums about being a “responsible custodian”. This is someone that Wood, Rimmer et al at the RFL deemed to be “fit and proper” and who was actually approached to take over by Rimmer. This was despite clear concerns raised by many around his running of the NZRL (debts of between NZ$700k and NZ$1.82m) and his dabbling in the forestry industry (more debts, receivership and job losses) which freely available for anyone to read about online. Then there’s Lowie Recruitment that Chalmers and Lowe ran that went into liquidation leaving debts of NZ$960k. Rimmer could see all that yet saw him as the man to ask to take over the Bulls.
Under Chalmers the club stopped paying player pension contributions and didn’t tell players and only avoided administration by selling their best players such as Minchella, Storton, Ryan, Keyes etc.
Ralph Rimmer gave a press conference in 2019 and stated Chalmers period in charge “wasn’t a disaster” yet must have known about this loan and all the rest.
Chalmers period in charge was a disaster and we’ll continue to pay for it. Another disaster was Wood and Rimmer’s involvement in the whole saga.

Standing back a little here, naturally this is headline news because it’s Bradford and our history however, this looks to me like an advance on funding. Much like tv monies due, this has happened many times before and for many other clubs.
It’s clearly not great to be needing money advanced but I don’t think it’s fatal and a reason to not buy season tickets (which then leaves the club short on funds again).
Firstly we’d need to know how much was borrowed, when it is to be paid back etc? If it was £100k to be paid back over 2/3 seasons it’s not as bad as it sounds.
Obviously we would never find this out as it would be privileged information.
Naturally the main issue at bradford is the secrecy. More than this on face value, the fans are asked to buy in and trust and every season SOMETHING comes creeping out of the woodwork to put of a few more of the limited numbers we have left.
I don’t see Nigel as the devil like some do but I think he’s too wrapped up in all of this mess to ever be trusted.
Said it before but if we ever got someone who was 100% completely honest with the fans, they would see crowds double overnight.
