To the victor the spoils, we MUST win something in the next couple of years to break our hoodoo and establish us as a top side. We are the only side that has spent big that has won nothing in the superleague era, Hull, Warrington and Catalan have all managed it. Winning isn't everything, just 95% of it. We KNOW leutele is quality and that he has performed for us, it's not like spending big on someone who may or may not come off, was a no brainer to keep him whatever it took.

If whatever it takes is to make us weaker overall is that the whatever it takes you mean? It’s a balancing act. We currently have a squad not quite good enough. If we pay more to leutele we have to pay out less elsewhere and so the rest of our squad gets weaker, not stronger. And so we are even less good enough.
We had both McQueen and leutele we wanted to resign, McQueen has been fitter and we have kept his services. In an ideal non- salary capped sport we get to keep them both. We don’t have that.

I would be amazed if Wardle is playing for us next year looking at all the sniping going on and the fact that Watson is currently putting him down publicly "aspiring to be at an international level like Toby King", hang on a minute, didn't Wardle play in the last international and King is nowhere near!? I'm happy things haven't worked out anyway, King is definitely not what we want (although i'm not happy to see that Watson thinks he is) another plodding back with little pace who is only any good under the high ball, no footwork, no acceleration and as showed against Wakefield easy to score behind him with a short kick.

I am getting worried now that Watson favors players who buy into what he is doing 100% more than have talent. For the play off game (if fit) it should definitely be Fages and Pryce in the halves, Russell has been woeful last couple of games and offers virtually nothing when Fages is on the pitch.

I can’t think of a single exchange from them I would want from wire right now. They will have to give us plenty of cash for a current England international. I think we should keep him personally. If he wants to keep his England spot he won’t be able to not play well.
