Looks better than he is by the players around him.

Maybe should have kept him for a year, but did the right thing by him by letting him get a long term deal.

Sneyd got hampered by the poor couldnt be arsed players around him. Different player in a team that has forwards who get a quick play the ball and make runs.

Agree. In the end I think he thought F it. The times he ran the ball and nobody was running off him. His last year was poor but so was every body else. Just a whipping boy for some. Still a decent player IMO. Salford if keeping injury free are dark horses for GF. From Mr Sneyd

Don't agree a good player should be able to stand out even in a poor side, look at Connor and a few other players who have played well in the Hull side this year. It certainly helps having good players around them, but his kicking, running and passing was poor for Hull the last 2/3 season, not all of that can be blamed on his teammates.

Seems to have some confidence back, but his creativity is still limited to his short kicking game (which has been better this year) and backing up breaks of Croft and Watkins etc.

Connor could look good playing for Batley. He's no Connor and his game is based on his kicking and organization. He certainly has upped his game. Good luck to him. Regards Mr Sneyd

For me Sneyd when at Hull wasn't the most creative halfback but I don't think in fairness that he is that type of halfback. For me he seemed to organise the players and plays fairly well but again there was very little adaption in game situations from him. To get the best from him and his skill set you need a foil for him and Croft seems to be that player. Unfortunately as good as Kelly was for us he was too much in the maverick mould and a player who played what he saw so for me they weren't a great pairing on the whole.
His kicking is accurate the vast majority of the time but for some reason his short licking game is lacking.
Ultimately we became a very one dimensional and predictable team and I'm not saying it was all down to Sneyd but certainly feel limitations in his game were a contributing factor of that.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Fair points.

He's streets better than Gale.
To say he was poor for us, carte blanche, is a ridiculous statement.
Had some fantastic match winning performances for us.
As for us 'letting' him go, maybe it was a two-way street.
Unfortunately looks like he's made the correct decision if so.
We haven't got anywhere near like a good enough squad to challenge at present.

No one mentioned that he chased down Olpherts on Monday when Olpherts intercepted?

Where did Sneyd get that speed from
