Mrs Barista wrote:It's been churning out the same "we'll be top dogs imminently" rhetoric for well over a decade, during which time we've won 2 major trophies and they've broken the CC final losing margin record and been relegated. Crikey.

That said with 16 missing for us it would be unthinkable for them not to win back the bragging rights at the weekend. The big red machine and international winger are ready to wreak havoc. Pray for us.

Luckily for us we'll only have around 13 or 14 first team players out, not including the kids obviously. So you probably beat us on players missing if your gonna count lads like Rutland on your injury list.
The main difference injury wise is that we'll probably only have one spine player playing (Milnes) and he's our 3rd choice, Fc will have 3 of the 4 spine players playing which gives you a massive advantage.

Anyway good luck in the 'doneslightlybetterthantheother' Cup/plate, and hopefully onto a playoff push for both teams next season.

If we had another injured halfback I think our injured XIII is better than Rovers' First 13.

Not a bad line up to be fair.

Blimey. Both teams are knackered.

All irrelevant though as it always comes down to who wants it more. Having a load of kids on each side might up the intensity a bit. It's not going to be a classic.

Hardly going to be a classic, and I think the fact you have some spine to get you around the pitch. We ended up with PLT in his 4th game I think for us yesterday playing at 6 & 9 at certain points, certainly interesting. Should be able to get a decent pack out hopefully so our game plan should be based around that

Strangely at the Wigan game yesterday it was 2 reserve teams near enough and in a weird way it was quite enjoyable, no pressure watching the young lads surrounded by seasoned pros come out their shell a little bit and probably try things they usually wouldn’t, not sure if the pressure cooker of a derby will allow it though.

I think you will just have too much intelligence on the pitch with Connor, gale, smith and will control the game similar to the Toulouse game and put a few points on. Either way it doesn’t really matter and could be the least relevant derby to be played since our return to SL

If Parcell is fit and Litten gets his ban reduced I'll make Rovers favourites. Otherwise 50/50.

Probably the lowest in the SL era.

Less than 15k. What's your guess?

I see we are contesting the 2nd game of Fash's ban.
