Which bit? Holmes has signed for Bulls, is a quality player and will add something to Bradford.
Thacks is getting past it and Eagles are looking to strengthen in the halves. Cory was at Eagles as one of his former clubs and his dad would have him back in a heartbeat, he was on loan there from us for nearly 4 months and after losing a couple of years due to covid and injury does not want to be third choice and could have asked for and been granted to be released from the remaining year of his contract and Sheffield would be a natural choice.
If and it’s only a if Cory does leave, Fax going with just 2 halves would be risking it. There’s the logic and I did say it was speculation and that’s all it is.
Regarding Lilley coming to Fax nowhere did I say he was, the logic is against it and sincerely hope he doesn’t. He’s reportedly on big money, would be way back in third place behind JK and LJ and his dinner suit old style of play doesn’t fit in with SG’s hard working grafter mould and we will have to wait and see.

There is no logic whatsoever in Jordan Lilley coming to Fax. He is nowhere near good enough to get anywhere near our squad.

Isn't that what i just said? Part quote "Regarding Lilley coming to Fax nowhere did I say he was, the logic is against it and sincerely hope he doesn’t. The logic was in the possibility of Cory going back to Sheffield for the reasons I mentioned.
Answer me this, when JWH is fit who will SG pick in the halves?
If it's JK and LJ and Cory is dropped again he will clearly know where he is at the club which is third choice and we won't have to wait long to see if he's happy with that and a likely repeat of this season. As before we will have to wait and see.
Let’s face it all this speculation has come through an unproven source. Tbh I would be disappointed if Aston left , I think he’s played well when called upon but there is logic in him leaving to play more regularly and closer to his family. As regards lilley he doesn’t really strike me has a Grix type player, he has a good kicking game and is decent from dummy half but lacks the pace of Aston , jouffret etc , he may play him has hooker/half in a joe Martin type role . I can’t really think of many players who can play multiple roles as cover in the halves and fb etc , maybe Oscar Thomas who I noticed was interacting with some Halifax posts on Twitter ( not that it means anything)
There is obviously logic behind Lilley signing. Aston is now very clear 4th choice behind our halves and you can't blame him after been unable to lock down a place in wanting to move to play regular rugby given where he is in his career. Their have been rumors that Kyle Wood may not be hear next season which leaves us in a position of needing a bench hooker and if that player happens to be able to cover in the halves then that would be a bonus as we would be down to 3 players and with Woody at FB they would all be starting so we would need some cover.
I can't say I would be too excited about Lilley signing but to be fair to Grix he has not got too many wrong so far in his short career and I wasn't too excited about Aston signing but I think its fair to say he has proved a lot of people wrong. It could also be Lilley's last chance to move to a big championship club which could be motivation for him after playing at Bradford for a while in a style of rugby that really does not suit his game.

Agreed and that would mean Cory being dropped after he has played well which raises a few more questions. How do you think he would feel? Whilst he might be our third choice he is certainly good enough to be first or second choice and (with all other things being equal) a certain starter at another club such as Sheffield.
If you were playing and you had a choice which option would you choose, be third choice and not play or be loaned out or move on with the second scenario?
We will just have to wait and see.
What has no logic is a couple of weeks ago you couldn't understand why Cory had been recalled from Sheffield and now you can't understand why he would be going back

Yep as I posted going with just 2 halves would be risking it and SG knows full well the benefits of having players with the utility value. Kyle has been a bit or maybe more than a bit underwhelming imho and wouldn't be surprised if an agreement could be reached for him to move on if we could find a replacement. On the other hand if Kyle stays and if we are left with just JK and LJ, KW could cover the 7 spot as well as 9 certainly for a short term injury.
Regarding the 6,7 and 9 options I was hoping that we could have got Tom Holmes which obviously hasn't happened.
The main obstacle and lack of logic to signing Lilley as a third choice half is the amount of money he is reportably on at Bradford and I can't see us wanting to match that or him take a pay cut. Just have to wait and see.

If Kyle wood is moving on I wouldn’t be massively disappointed as he’s been ok but not set the world alight ( played better in recent games) I’d love to have bourouh back , he hasn’t featured much for Salford ( not sure on his injury status ) and he provided quality impact from the bench both in attack and defence, obviously local too . I’m sure a lot of the recruitment is down to funds etc which I’m not sure where we are at after the fans forum at the shay seemed to imply we weren’t quite hitting the mark attendance wise which may have an effect on recruitment quality. This leads me on to my next question to you greg florimos boots , me and my old man were chatting about a previous post you put up a while ago to do with a consortium that wanted to get involved with the club , there was some dialogue between Lawrence turner and someone in the crowd at the fans forum ( think the 2019/20 one before the rebrand) just wondered if you knew anything about it and if it was in anyway related to the recent new shareholders cc holdings ltd .

Now then I think you must have misread me somewhere although I don't know where. As I understand it, Aston is going back to Sheffield and that is something I would be quite o.k. with. I don't think he is an improvement on say, Wood. One swallow doesn't make a summer and I would say thank you for helping us to the win at Sheffield and off you go back to the Eagles. Now if we could somehow get Amir back permanently that would definitely boost us up a level. We'll see. Up The Fax!
