Just to put that in perspective, we haven't hit 1,500 Heritage Numbers yet, and that includes a lot of guest players in the wars, so well over 10% of actual Leeds players have been welsh, which is amazing and a huge part of our history.

And if you listen to many, also the single greatest player in the history of the club. That's not Rob Ackerman by the way.

And i have included players who have Welsh heritage such as Bev Risman and Gwyn Gronow. Whilst also including players that were born in Wales but represented England such as Arthur Thomas.
Wales played a huge part of the club's history and you couldn't discuss great Leeds players without mentioning Welsh players. You could even do a Welsh Leeds XIII and it would be pretty good!

He was my favourite player in that late 80s/ early 90s Leeds team when I was only 10 or 11. He didn't seem to be held in such high esteem by other fans but I didn't care.
"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."
