Wardle is contracted to Huddersfield for 2023. I can’t see wigan paying a fee for him as that’s not how they usually do things. But who knows.
With leutele confirming he’s definitely not staying there’s possibly a spot for wardle- if he’s prepared to fight for it. He didn’t seem to want to previously but let’s see if he thinks the grass is greener.
King hasn’t really impressed at centre- and actually I think his form has impacted on Innes who appears to have no confidence in him either.
I certainly wouldn’t be looking at taking him off Warringtons hands.

King has been very poor, he has given away a lot of tries with very poor one v one tackling and bad reads in defence. In attack he is very pedestrian, and only shines under the high ball, would definitely not look to be signing him long term if i were Watson.

Leutele was given a deadline to confirm he was staying and that deadline has now passed. The club are therefore looking elsewhere. If he does want to stay it may be too late, or if not he may now have to take less money. He’s obviously not that desperate to stay or he would have said so before the deadline.

Toby King has signed for Wigan on a season long loan for the 2023 season.

Well that one came out of the blue!
Does this mean the Bibby & Marsters deals are complete now?

Not too enthusiastic about the bibby deal. Massive step down from what we have in leutele and wardle.
If wardle goes to wigan I will not be happy. Shows poor form. I know it’s a short career etc, etc, but we took a gamble on the lad, looked after him when he was out for two years, and gave him a contract after getting nothing in return. Least we can expect is for the player to see out the contract to the end before signing elsewhere.
pryce for instance is doing the decent thing in that regard.
