He explained that we were moving to 1.Wimbledon to prepare for SL, 2. sell corporate hospitality and 3. build to 5,000 fans.
He also said that 4. it would seem at times like it wasn't working/going to plan.....
Well, he got one of them right.....although the word "seem" would be surplus to requirements.
From the blurb surrounding sponsorship in 2023 we are sticking with Wimbledon. I await a statement from the CEO or Chairman explaining the thought process here.....the only plus I can see is that there's a very good chance that NOBODY within 5 miles of the ground knows we are here and we can relaunch locally in 2023.
I still await an apology to lapsed, banned and abused fans who were subject to the alcoholic whims of a senior staff member in 2022.
To be fair to the new commercial guy, he seems to be trying to do everything by the numbers with the brochure of what's available up, the club shop no longer linked to the sweat shop in Bradford and a regular (if pub side image) email......but he will learn that it's a thankless task unless Hughes employs a marketing manager/agency and allocates budget......and I don't mean loving adverts in Metro in mid January.......
