I've seen nothing of him at St Helens which suggests this has changed. He's a luxury few teams can afford to carry and is certainly not the signing of the season.

From a Saints viewpoint with Percival and Hopoate missing most of the season he is the signing of the season for us. Has played through injured made Makinson one of the top try scorers and has only had one awful game.

Most important his temperament with LMS has created a very happy camp of togetherness….sometimes players have influence off the pitch as well as on it.

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.
Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

Being a Wakey fan I'd definitely give a strong mention to Corey Hall!

Probably signed initially as a bit of centre cover and a bit of a project player he quickly had to establish himself as a first team regular with the season and career ending injury to Bill Tupou...only turned 20 a couple of weeks ago and has played well beyond his years...covered both sides at centre brilliantly and even did a job in the 2nd row last week!

Brodie Croft is the obvious one though and i'd also give a mention to Levi at Huddersfield from what I've seen...

All those 3 players have caught the eye this season, good footwork and an eye for a gap. Corey Hall lots of potential there.

I have changed my mind the way Hurrell passed the ball to the linesman whilst under pressure in the CC semi final and the way he gave the ball on to Cust so he could tip it to Marshall so he could score the try that killed the game Friday night.
So yes Hurrell is Wigans signing of the season
