I’ve said it on here before but the guy has no ‘fire in his belly’ it’s something you can even see during the game by how stoic he is.

So was Brian Smith. What's your point

It’s an Aussie thing, hardly show emotions, unless your scoring tries a la Wolff. Wasn’t very stoic at the end of the Wakey game, almost in tears. I think that alone shows how passionate he is. This shower of a team is enough to put any bonfire out. Certainly has mine.

I would sack him as i cant see anything he has done that has enhanced us as a club at first team level and thats what counts and brings in the money for the club. We are going backwards fast.

He is before my time but a quick google search doesn’t back up what you’re saying, he was fined a few times for his conduct in postgame interviews in the NRL and had a very public falling out with Bill Harrigan.
You don’t think a coach is there to motivate their players? Like I’ve said before the hours he puts in at the club is commendable but I don’t think he is the correct personality type to get us out of this mess.

Hodgson is more like Peter Gentle than Brian Smith.
Both are undoubtedly likeable, decent, honest, hard working men. Gentle is clearly respected as an assistant coach with a CV to back it up. He was just out of his depth in a head coach role.
Hodgson like Gentle has been very unlucky with injuries to his squad but similarly seems to lack a Plan B. They are both quietly spoken and as Hollywood says Hodgson doesn't appear to have that X Faxtor to lift or motivate his team.
