The only good to come out of this is my bank account rising after the winnings Even from Melbourne you can recognise a team low on confidence and a coach that is impotent the season will just fall away again and then hot air re next season Brett needs to leave but AP won’t fire him

I think he might develop, but he is a long way off and I'd rather see us develop Severs rather than use up cap on bringing in a raw bsckrower, who as it stands is far too lightweight.
TBH Hodgson will play him in about 6 positions, then wonder why the defensive line and attack is struggling.

Because it accidentally hit his head that makes it "ok"... the fact he was running straight at the man and not looking at the ball makes no difference it seems...
Thought young Litten went well, his one on one try saving tackle in his first stint was faultless...similar to when a young Richard Horne made his debut at headingley and took down a rampaging Darren Fleary...here's hoping young Litten has a similar career ahead (minus the serious injury in 2008)

Gaskell has previous for play acting as well. Seem to remember him doing it against the Dobbins a couple of years back.
I’ll be honest, rugby league in its present form is in a death spiral. Refereeing, at super league level, is contributing to that.

Gentle who got us to a cup final in 2 seasons
And radford won us 2 cups
Your talking like we've been relegated 4 times in 10 years get a grip!

Gaskell was as surprised as us to be hit on the head by the ball when he was about 2m in front of Barron who was stationary with his arms out to catch the ball.
Actually if you Google the laws of rugby league and look at rugby-league.com website.
Go down to knock on and forward pass it clearly states:
“Heading the ball 4. It is illegal to head the ball in a forward direction.”
Is this wrong or do 2 referees clearly not know a basic rule?
Tough watch last night, two very poor sides in which Wakey threatened to blow us away yet again. It shouldn’t have to be applauded that our players played for 80 minutes, but thats how low it feels like the standards have fallen with this team.
Injuries obviously haven’t help our situation by any means, but as I’ve mentioned previously, we seem to seriously suffer more then most in recent years, is it coincidence? Or is there more to it. I don’t know, but it has to be something to be looked at going forward.
Sadly another season is going to fizzle out just like most have since 2018. It’s horrible seeing our club like this, not making the play offs is unforgivable for a squad of this cap size.
The one positive for next season is the injection of pace we should hopefully see from the likes of Hoy/Trueman. It was painful watching how slow and to be honest awful our players are at passing a ball. McNamara got a bit of stick last night but there’s not much he can do at second receiver when it’s taken as long as it did for the ball to reach him. That’s where our problems lie in attack for me.
On a final note, this is a club absolutely desperate for some leadership on the pitch. I don’t look at any of those players and see them as someone the players look to for inspiration. Naturally it should be the likes of Taylor/Houghton/Gale, but I just don’t see it. A minichiello esc signing would be the perfect use of our final quota spot

Coach isn't the problem
Getting rid of the deadwood is the factor
Basically, you are determining success in the Challenge Cup is the barometer of Gentle and Radford's tenure.. Ignoring the fact, both had a win ratio in the League of below 50%.. How many of the deadwood players ,have played in the recent thrashings ?
