In answer to your question, if Sky choose the Saints game then Wigan could have a problem. Then again if Sky choose the Wigan game ( if they finish second that is) then there is no problem. So why don't we wait until Sky choose before arguing over rights and wrongs etc. I suppose I could head over to redvee to put this point of view over. Then again I don't think I will bother.
Twisted the knife? I came on here to say that I was very interested to see what happens as whether you like it or not it is a story. I also said "if" we finish top and "if" Wigan finish 2nd. Yes of course as NK says it may be that this situation doesn't develop if say Hudds snatch 2nd for example but the fact remains that it could happen so naturally it would be interesting to see what the RFL would do.
As for Saints fans loving a moan well I'm sorry but we are entitled to in this case. If we are forced to swap to a Saturday lunch time kick off then there are various factors to consider. AS FTV alludes to, we play nearly all our home games at 8pm on a Friday so the players are well versed in terms of match day preparation, sleep, eating habits etc. That changes to a 12:30 kick off and the routine changes.
Secondly what about income? Saturday kick off means fans will watch football games, its the amateur RL season with games being played so the attendance could be significantly reduced and a loss of income. So its not all about the extra days rest is it and the stats being thrown about in relation to previous GF winners .
At the end of the day this potential "situation" is not Saints fault and we should not be told to move a fixture (if this transpires)
I guarantee one thing, if this was the other way round Wigan fans would be moaning. And rightly so.
