Absolutely, the progress over the last 2 seasons has been great to watch. They have already beaten Bedford away this season so while the semi should be a tough test it is also a very winnable game for them.

Here's a thought.....Is there any need for Dusty to be a boy horse?
Buck and Dusty at this event with Dusty in a ladies shirt............
I really hope that Hughes has enough down the back of the sofa to pay for a little local marketing for this....and I hope we would see the Wimbledon Ladies there to support us....,.they are at home (Carshalton) at 2pm.....would be great if they could get to the Cherry Red, even for the 2nd half and post match.
I'd re-issue the free invite to all dons ST holders for this game too.....they have Doncaster at home the day before....get someone there handing out leaflets....half time.....on pitch interview/promotion....buck & dusty even......
.....this is a real chance to beat the season opening gate.....

At least make it free entry for anyone who has been to the Wimbledon women's game which I think is their final pre season match.

Broncos Ladies are probably the only people who DH feels have not let him down this season in his fantasy world (after all, his decisions are always correct, so empty stands is the fault of the fans, no match day experience is the fault of Wimbledon, bottom 4 team is the fault of the manager and players etc), so it would be nice for him to show some good will to the only positive of this season, but again I expect they will do nothing more than just have the double-header

Hope they have checked to see they have enough changing facilities. Personally I think on this season's form they should headline the ladies & make the men the support act.

Tuesday evening in London and 4 days (3 of them working) to attract some form of interest in the local community to boost the gate.
I see that our ticketing partner have stepped up as match day sponsor, which I now make the 5th time a partner has "apparently" parted with more cash to reinforce the message to an already captive audience  ....or in other words, we've given them the naming rights so we don't look any more more like a pub side.....sigh.
Lots of preaching to the choir going on, with £25 for 4 offer front and centre.....apparently we won a poll on Twitter for team of the week....180 votes from a total of 249 from. Twitter site with 5,000 members......not pub side at all that....sigh
The club shop, where I went to buy my daughter and granddaughter 2023 ladies shirts seems to no longer be operating, but guides me to apx where apx claim AND advertise that they are the kit supplier.....along with supplying kit to various pub sides......sigh.
Once I scanned my inbox I discovered the first email from the club since March, announcing itself as the "new" newsletter, some 8 months after the season launch..........that's insulting the pig and whistle first XI.....sigh
No mention of parts 2 to 4 of the season ticket holder events that were offered to the sheep at fleecing time before the sheep were further fleeced by widespread discounting to attract other sheep........the wolfpack in emmerdale have taken notes.......sigh
Lastly.....and this to me would be something that I would consider key to any chance of improvement in 2023....no mention of a gathering of those from earlier in the year to discuss 2022 and form a plan for 2023. This would include a widespread call for volunteers to man the pumps on matchdays ( in return for club uniforms, maybe a free away trip for them, definitely a box for them at seasons end.....and other low cost perks)......2022's shortcomings in attracting fans may well be a blessing in disguise given that very few new fans can have been put off as there weren't many.....but 2023 will be a make or break season and without either Hughes funding it or volunteers helping, matchdays will again be flat.....

Come on the Broncos Ladies......whilst the guys winning a few games is nice, you've been a constant PLUS in 2022......

Ladies triumph 44-6.....final on 27th.....
Day before our away trip to Whitehaven.....if you don't fancy the length of the country on Sunday, then how about a couple of hours to the west....?
Maybe DH can be convinced to stump up for a coach....offer it to ST holders first, then people who have upgraded to the lounge....should have no problem filling a 75 seater!
Really is an opportunity to polish a turd of a season if the girls can pull this off.....it was close on the regular season going down to a try in the last seconds.....some vocal support could be the difference!
COYBL......

Good performance from the women, especially first half. Good to see a decent number stayed behind after the curtain raiser.

After the start to the season we had (both on and off the park), I saw today as a HUGE opportunity to grasp a 2nd chance to make a first impression.......by the sounds of it, the club didn't take advantage of the possible Win Win, the feel-good nature around Women's sport and the spanking hot weather.......
...should have thrown the doors open, booked a band, had kids on the park at half time, bouncy castles, face painting, mascots etc.....
....it seems like they want to run the club on a Workington Town type budget but in a stupidly expensive stadium

No real effort appeared t be made to enhance the gate. Nothing at all inside the ground, although the music that was played was different.
One thing though, there was a table where the club were knocking out shirts in the stand.
