The Leeds guy who posted has no axe to grind and echoes what a lot of Leeds supporters think.
We know we need to add some speed yet we sign another utility player who is short of pace yet seemingly to be a first choice centre.
So the question you have to ask is where does Hodgson play Connor given a fit Tuimavave should be first choice right centre.
That question then brings up the possibility that Connor may be leaving as Hull look to cash in on him.
Will the signings of Hoy,Trumeman and Sutcliffe suddenly make us into a top four team the answer is No.
Our second row is not big and powerful enough and our front row needs shaking up with an additional big mobile player to stop the complacency .
It says something when Brad Fash has suddenly become the teams star forward

Won't Connor play full back or stand off?

It might not move us into the top 4, but it will move us closer, we won't start to compete until our youth set up is fully working and that's probably 2/3 years off

1. Hoy/Walker
6. Connor
7. Trueman

Is what I'd do.

On a slight tangent, keeping Walker for if/when those NRL clubs come sniffing around Connor again would help. It would ease some pressure if he does move.

Plus we could go Hoy and Connor in the halves if Trueman needs more recovery time

I think the club will really look to use your next year as back up, not Walker who will be on good money and we still have Shaul next year. Think McNamara will get a shot if Trueman is out for an extended period.

Think if wakey stay up, they can trigger a permanent contract with Shaul, but I take your point

I'd also be interested to see who you think the club should have signed instead of these 3 players?

I doubt Connor will play full back given Hoy has been signed.
Think coaches can see the benefits now of a fast attacking full back
Even in his short time here Walker has shown this with the breaks he has made and the backing up down the middle
Will he play six? again not so sure.A lot will depend on the fitness of Trueman and McNamara and then the possiblity of either Gale or Smith staying on.
Talented player but if we could cash in on Connor i would.
Unless we have some added power and size into the forwards i dont think these additions will move us any nearer the top four.
Hoping that young players with potential currently in the reserves and academy will be the the answer to the clubs future and catapult us into a top team in two or three years is just living in hope which is what supporters of the club have been doing now for several seasons

Front row is fine in my opinion. One position where we have depth and quality. Sao and Satae are top class. Evans is improving all the time. Brown is quality and young enough to get even better. Fash is solid and dependable. Laidlow looks a prospect. If and a big if Taylor can get a good pre-season in and improve his fitness we'll have even more quality.

Agree second row looks a bit weak that's why I think we'll use the quota spot to sign one.

If you look at the outgoings we should have a decent amount left to sign at least one or two quality signings.

If Houghton isn't here next season we definitely need another hooker as well.

I actually agree with this the more I think about it.
Would be interested to know how much Canberra were offering before they pulled the plug.

Would be more than happy with

1 Walker
6 Hoy
7 Trueman

Sutcliffe is the only player i have said we should be looking at better.
Hoy i have not seen enough of and neither has anyone else on here so difficult to comment but he has pace and that counts for a lot now in todays game.
Trueman is a good player and was playing into some form at Cas before his injury.Just hope it doesnt come back to bite us.
Do we really need another utilty player especially when it seems he his destined for a centre spot.
He is certainly not better than Connor or Tuimavave at centre and from what i have seen of him in live games no better than Mitch.
Recruitment of Hodgson is too hotchpotch for me and leans too much to utility players

Worry for me is that we don’t keep Walker and then an NRL club entice Connor just before next season.

We start the season without Walker, Connor or Trueman and just have Hoy in the pivots.

For this reason I would keep Walker
