Obviously because of the fall out on social media and the press on the discrepancies in gradings / length of the bans the RFL have gone away and come up with what they think puts them in the clear and justifies their actions and choose 4 examples.

All seems fine when you look at what led up to each incident and how much lifting was involved and taken on it's own you can see how Titus got the more severe punishment.

However as early as the 3rd minute of the interview Dave Rotherham the Chief On Field Officer of the RFL when speaking on the video ref and Quote"[b] the match officials working together to keep our game safe."

Well in the Barrow /Fax game the build up had from the very first jumping head high tackle multiple incidents of foul play by Hakim Miloudi on Greg Worthington that went on for some time.

What action did the touch judge " a match official " take on any of them, the first high tackle, the head butt or the neck and head lock using it as a lever to twist Worthington to the ground as Stack was holding him upright. (The pressure and force of which could have easily resulted in him having serious neck or spinal injuries.)

Did he raise his flag, enter the field of play, speak to ref through his microphone at any time during this? NO he did nothing until after it had all kicked off.

In doing nothing the touch judge failed in working together as a match official and failed in keeping our game safe and because of that was as much to blame as anybody.

Did the RFL acknowledge this? NO.
Did this official receive a ban or other punishment of any kind? NO

Before you look at everyone else take at look at yourselves and you will very likely find that the majority of problems and issues facing the game today are down to you.

As Graeme Taylor ( gwazes agent ) said ultimately it’s all down to subjective opinion, there’s loads of instances that if you examined after the game you could make a case for . I’m interested to see what happens when they review the fax vs Batley game ( given they can now take retrospective action in a match review) even if it hasn’t been penalised at the time ., when Campbell strikes jouffret with an open hand several times jouffret goes down , in the ensuing melee Dane manning drags jouffret out of the way by his shirt after being struck and using the rfls terminology’ potentially injured’ . I think my example is extreme and doesn’t warrant any further action however it’ll be interesting to see if the rfl pick up on it . They even admit in the programme they don’t have a specific grade for lifting an injured player and to some extent making it up as they go along .

Aye, the rfl have created a rod for their own back with these selective sanctions. If only they used common sense instead eh?

With just a couple of games for Gee and whatever is left for Titus my message to the rest of the team would be unless you want your season to end early keep your heads and keep it clean because you know what can easily happen if you don’t.
Sheffield and Aston senior clearly haven’t forgotten the early game at the Shay and will be looking to get at the Fax players particularly Ed Barber so he needs to be able to smile at them and walk away when it starts otherwise he could easily be walking off end of season end of career.
