It was rather a good afternoon eh SRAO?
I'd go as far as saying the first half performance was as good as I've seen in 33 years of watching Salford. Some utterly sublime play that lead to a number of try of the month/season contenders.
I really hope someone has the balls to give it to Wilkin next time he makes it into the Sky punditry box.
Agree with what's said above as well, Burgess has to be in contention for a WC wing spot and Watkins switch to the back row has been a masterstroke. Totally reborn as a player.
I could mention the whole.team though TBH after yesterday, so many superb performances and to keep players with the quality of YJW, Lomax, Roby, Walmsley, Knowles so quiet was a huge collective effort.
Now where's my good friend LeBron hiding these days?

Talk about a coupon buster !
Stunning result for Salford but, Saints are getting themselves ready for the play offs and it's just a shame that they can easily afford to lose a few games and not be too badly affected.
You will have had a cracking day though and good for you !

I get what your saying Wrencat and there could well be some of that in it, but I think if you asked any Saints fan who was there I think they will tell you that we simply blew them away, as judderman said earlier it probably could/should have been 50-6 rather than 44-12.
The fans, the members, the people there.. from the day I stepped foot onto that field at the AJ Bell Stadium,I knew I would love that club for the rest of my life. "Jackson Hastings"..

It was bound to come eventually no way was saints going to just keep winning, and the fact they almost lost to Shakey the week before was an indication the loss was coming - but no one saw the absolute pasting on the cards. Good on Salford. Glad we aren't playing saints this week as I cant see their egos taking it well!

Saints are not getting ready for the play offs, they are just struggling across their whole back line, shirts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 are injured and our back 3 forwards have not played together for quite a while because of injuries or self inflicted bans.
Woolf will have them prepared around September he can’t rest many players in the first team squad because we are down to 20 players which is happening to other clubs as well.
The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you. Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.

You dont need to tell me about injuries. Pre season, we would have expected our three quarters to be Johnsone, Tupou, Lyne and Lineham and we only got close to that a couple of times (Tupou having never played).. Lineham just didn't work out for us and Johnstone has been out injured for most of the season. Thankfully, a couple of the youngsters have stepped up and done a great job, under difficult circumstances (Murphy and Hall).. and we've "made do" at right centre.

thats a poor excuse - salford were also in the same boat regarding injuries - and they dont profess to have the strength in depth that everyone bangs on saints have, i guess they just coped with it better! and as you rightly say other teams are also experiencing similar.

They havn’t coped with it better though, Salford have lost 11 game to Saints 4, also Salford have lost by much bigger margins.
Salfords attacking spine has been available for an enormous amount of superleague games compared to the Saints counterpart, Sneyd and Croft have not missed that many games were Dodd and one armed Lomax have been busted since round 8 with Dodd out for the season.
Salford and Leeds have been form teams at the moment and that’s what we have seen Salford thrashing Saints and Leeds thrashing Wigan.
