Summed up in one sentence...
Their defence was a lot better than ours.

We’re obviously more of a threat than we were at the start of the season. However conceding 4 tries in 12 minutes to a mid table side shows we still have a lot to do to get to where we need to be. I’m pleased though that with Eccles as coach when the game starts I expect us to be in the game whereas under JC I felt we would get to tonked.

From Eccles' brief interview on twitter, he is not a happy bunny. Refreshingly honest compared to some of the stuff from Mustard.

Thud...,as we crash back down to earth. I hope this puts debate about a mid table finish to bed.......the last thing anyone other than Eccles deserves this year is a mid table finish to hide behind.....don't get me wrong, I want us to stay up, but on points difference would be a fair reflection of this season

The issue that we face as a club is, ex Super League players such as Ben Jones-Bishop or Kris Welham will never sign a part time contract with The Broncos for financial reasons.
Sadly we are fishing in a very small pond and this can only hold the club back.

Rhinos fan sat behind the Broncos fans today hating on London from the get go. I don't engage with such people as the only way to shut them up is via the scoreboard, sadly the team were an embarrasment today. If only they knew the strength of feeling some people have against us.

Sorry to hear that. There was a time when Leeds was an absolute dump and you could understand their need to thumb their nose at us big city types but now it’s stepped up a bit so there really is no need, perhaps they were just bottom feeders. Best to ignore.

Both passed their best but still good pros. Totally agree with your analysis but if I recollect LB management thought a different way. My guess is Southern Hemisphere types might ameliorate the problem to some extent as many down there have only heard of London so it still remains a draw especially if we give the impression we have a record of competence in this division...so that is something will need to work on.

Brexit has slammed the door on such "types' unless they are qualified in a role that ticks the right box.
The recent FTA with Australia didn't really offer much clarity on the rules pos-Brexit, but all the Aussies representing Ireland, France, Italy and other EU countries are now cut off from the Broncos unless they too are qualified in a key skill or are sponsored by an employer. IIRC, it is the same for New Zealand.

The way around this would be to offer "sponsorship" opportunities to companies that sponsor and Aussie Player as an employee. For example, Key and Eagle could employ an Australian in exchange for the thousands they pay us each year :CURTAIN: . He wouldn't need any experience as their performance thus far shows   but we could top up his Salary. Or, Hughes could buy a few pubs in the area and employ the players as Key staff, providing them with an income and accommodation as well as giving Hughes a chance of a ROI, something he has never seen from the Broncos?

In all seriousness, we need to be offering huge incentives to players to come south and get the kids back training with the first team and reserves. The Kids have suffered this year from not being with the seniors......I think we have won 1 game (unless we won at Leeds).
