Could allow us to bring in a rugby man at a high level, which I think we need, someone to tell Adam not to merge academies and assist with recruitment and retention including the coaching set up.

The merger no one saw coming
We’ll be shopping in Turkey!
I always wondered whether there may be a closer link up between City and Hull. Thin Acun has branched into other sports before (Basketball), so would make more sense to operate together.
May only be a rumour regarding Adam working with City, but could become interesting.

It is common for Turkish football teams to have clubs in other sports.
Issue for RL though is not only does barely anyone know about it, there's no agreed structure in place, even a quick discussion about TV deals, league format will reveal we are all in the dark after next season! FC could be in SL2 on Channel4 or it could be a closed shop franchised SL on Amazon Prime, who knows??

RL is its own worst enemy in terms of promoting and selling itself and just seems to shoot itself in the foot all too often. There has never seemed to be any real planning or action for the long term it always seems to reactive and all last minute instead of proactive. Reminds me of the BIHA in Ice Hockey after Heineken pulled out the sport in the mid 90's and went from being fairly organised and run to a bit of a shambles with changes being made to the game and league structures every year without any thought on or impact these would have good or bad on the game.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

What Pearson seems to forget is when you have a long term strategy of trying to produce future players for the club from the reserves and academy you cant do it without a strong first team squad. You are not suddenly going to have five or six home grown players making up the first team and expecting them to compete at senior level from day one.Its a drip feed situation. He also seems to have forgotten that its a successful first team that brings in most of the clubs revenue. Go into next season with just Hoy and Trueman would be a disaster in terms of pass and gate revenue. Your talk wont cut it anymore Adam. You need to offload some senior players(and we all know who)and bring in at least two big name forwards to create some excitement for next season otherwise the club is dead in the water

Agree with what you are saying but I suspect the club do have a few more signings in the bag and are taking their time to announce.
Losing Reynolds, Mau'u, Johnstone, Bowden and potentially Shaul and Gale off the cap frees up a lot of cap space

We are certainly in need of younger and fitter players and AP and BH do seem to be addressing that. We also need as you say Bonaire some signings that will excite the fan base as currently there is not a lot to be hopeful for and which competition for peoples finances passes/memberships will be the things people let go of first if there no real enticement. Whether the club can conjure up a miracle and move a couple of players on that are still contracted whilst not renewing contracts of some others remains to be seen. As a club they really need to be more active in terms of communication and engagement with the fan base as since the sacking of Radford and lockdown its been very poor from the club.
