I won't say too much on last night's game as I am sure you don't want or need my thoughts but it has to be said what a class act Matty Peet is in defeat yet again. I immediately warmed to him after his post-match interview on Good Friday and again at Magic. Last night too he was calm and measured in his answers and was full of praise for the opposition, making no excuses. Can't help but like the bloke to be fair.

We got mullered YG,hopefully learn from that and move.
And yes we do like Peet for his honesty and that he has brought a smile to the Wigan fans and others from the sound of it.

Looks like it’s pretty much 1-1 on that trophy front now, glad we closed the gap between us who’ve been champions for well over 1,000 days and the team that beat us once that were so far above us!

Can you please translate that? I take it that English wasn’t your strongest subject at school?

There was nothing wrong with the English, however I can take more rudimentary steps to explain it for you if needed.

With the results over the weekend (you losing to Leeds and us beating Wakefield), that gives us a 6 point cushion at the top of the league. With that plus the fact that we don’t have the most difficult run-in, I’m insinuating that the league leaders shield is now all but wrapped up. That makes it 1-1 on the trophy front for our respective teams this year.

Now, the logic of some in this thread dictates that winning a trophy is the only true measurement of who the better team is, regardless of any other circumstances. Thus, we apparently had a gap to close in order to call ourselves as good a team as Wigan. I’m pointing out that this gap is now closed, and thank god.

I was then pointing fun at the logic in the first place, as saying there is a gap between us, who have been champions for over 1,000 days now, and you, who beat us in one knock-out game just because you lifted the CC is fairly laughable. It was tongue-in-cheek, if you will.

The only reason they look up to you is because they chose to kneel.

You can have half a point for the hubcap and that’s generous :D

In terms of relevance, you’re 100% correct

Takes a much better team to win it than the CC though ;)
