Can’t see the club giving five year deals out again.

He might not want to drop a level. Plus which Championship club will pay his wages in full? We don't want to be stuck in the situation of having to part pay salaries for players who aren't here.

Still hitting the spot with most fans with this I think!

I agree with everything Dan Tomlinson says there Wilf. However he doesn't attach any blame on Hodgson.

Hodgson cannot be blamed for everything but he is definitely a major part of the problem.

At the very least we should be showing some sign of improvement since Radford/Last were sacked. In my view we haven't. In fact we are getting worse. It's going to take a season or two before we can overhaul the squad bring in quality and instill a new ethos I'm not confident Hodgson can deliver this. There are coaches out there who I believe can do this and a change is needed now before it's to late.

Totally agree, every good coach get some improvement out of the current players, we are no better than the last full season under Radford.

I can't see Hodgson getting sacked though, it took Ragord over 2 years to get us going and I think he will give the same to Hodgson.

I do like Hodgsons recruitment, I like the Hoy and Truemam signing, think Sutcliffe will improve us and hopefully we can add a couple of forwards too.

Like you I think it’s a good read and hopefully it has all come from him. I don’t get the patience thing though. Those of us who have been around and gone around have been very patient. The club seems to go in cycles. Late 50’s-early 60’s a good winning team, it took 20 years for a repeat in the early 80’s, then another drought until the early 2000’s Manna from heaven, 2016-17. Sincerely hope the cycle doesn’t repeat because the core supporters of today are getting older, most are in God’s waiting room and won’t last to see the next cycle. I would be patient to see Hodgson deliver, if I believed he could. I believed in Sharp, Gentle, lost patience with Agar and Radford should have gone 2 seasons before he did but I didn’t call for their heads.
As Rider says, most of us long term supporters will go around again, direct debit and all that but and it’s a MASSIVE BUT, come Autumn when the cost of living hits and Winter fuel prices hit home, its going to severely damage season pass sales. Adam’s nailed his colours to HMS Hodgson’s mast, he did the same with Radford. Personally I’d give Hodgson till the end of the season, if FC finish 9th or frighteningly any lower, he should go.

I'm looking forward to these signings as well Dave. But so far Hodgson's recruitment has included Reynolds, Gale and Evans.

He has definitely made some errors, but seems to have new plan for younger players with a point to prove.
