Wardle clearly didn’t want to wait- well more fool him because right now he’s be playing for a top three side instead of a bottom three one. When he did get a chance earlier in the season he was unlucky with injuries (again) and then didnt play himself into the shirt. And look at who was at fault defensively for the try that put KR in front yesterday- yes it was a great try but …….
Watson obviously didn’t think he had the right mentality. He’s been pretty spot on in that regard so far hasn’t he! If he was unhappy then Watson did right to move him on we do t want any bad apples upsetting a happy camp.
Do you think wire have got it right ?- this kind of recruitment is exactly the same as what’s failed for them so far and it smacks of desperation to me. We have a great mix of youth and experience. The youth mostly our own.
Forget wardle he clearly doesn’t want to play for us, I’d rather have an OB who has been patient and will step up and perform when asked, or a matty English who will put aside a disappointment of missing the semi final and the loss of his place to Wilson and then run his blood to water on the pitch when he does get a shot. Because right NOW those are the type of players that will give us any chance of mixing it with the big guys- Watson recognises this.
