My opinion is that nothing has been sorted one way or the other and we're the ones with the trophy in the cabinet beating them on the way to winning it, so the only gap to be closed this season so far is them needing to win something. Everything else is just opinion and hot air.
This,it is Stains that need to close the gap as we are the only ones to win a trophy this year

You’re better than that Stu , big lesson for Wigan tonight, similar to Magic.. all valuable stuff come September hopefully. One of those days that happened under both Maguire and Wane. As I’ve said before, rightly or wrongly, each regular season game is worth 2 points. What really matters is playing we’ll come play off time.

Come on mate you can’t blame me for that post after today
To be fair I did nearly add a NB- this is FAO Phuzzy and Jason65 and not the other Wigan fans who do seem to know their rugby.
Matty Peet praising us again and we weren’t even playing. He’s hard to dislike

Touché , to be fair in the lead up to kick off you just sensed there was an upset on the cards. Wigan hopefully (!) learned the lesson that you can’t just turn up to a professional rugby league game thinking the job is already done.
And yes, I noticed Peet again reference Saints, it’s like he’s on a personal mission to knock them off their perch. I both dislike and like that attitude at the same time!
The other difference I feel is as Peet alluded to last night. We rarely get outworked. The games we have lost this season have been by 2 points apart from the Castleford one when we played the Academy.
Wigan have been well beaten by Leeds and Catalans and lost by 10 points or so to Hudds, Hull and Saints.

Thanks for the ref,but you see as CC holders we have still won more than you lot this season. Now I will state this clearly for the hard of understanding who ever wins the Grand Final are the best team this season. You have won jack poop this year we have won the only trophy on offer what is not to understand.
You can lose by 2 points or 60 it is still a loss. And yes Wigan got mullered by Leeds and deserved to lose,I am ok with that we re-group and move on. If, this is the question-Wigan win the Grand final (got to get there) will we have closed the gap or do we have to win the thing 3 years on the trot to do that ?

If you win the GF then clearly you will be the better team this season. You’ll have done the double so it would be hard to say otherwise.
However answer this- when Warrington beat us in the CC Final in 2019 where they a better team than us from Aug- Oct until we won the GF?

Question back to you-who won the CC 2019 , then yes they were the better team as they had won the only trophy ironically against you,so who were the better team at that point Wire or your good self ? When you won the final you did indeed become the best team that season.
