Credit to AP for once again digging deep and not only moving out underperforming players that will have come at a cost but also not giving up on the season and funding replacements.
As fans that’s all we can ask that he addresses the issues. He’s invested heavily in the youth structure and now invested in the first team both short and long term and as fans that’s all we can ask.
Welcome to Hull Wil
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
Any opinions, I'm guessing he's coming in t 6 as Reynolds replacement, as it was the first position Hodgson mentioned in the Smith interview. He l be playing for a deal and I think he l be pretty decent, got a gut feeling as u did about Lovodua.
His versatility will be priceless for us, could be a shrewd signing for next season offers cover right across the pivots
Scratched my head at Hodgson alot but can see what he's trying to bring to the team, modernising

We are lucky to get him, as good enough to play still in the NRL and think he will get a contract for next season, particularly if he performs for us.

It's funny you guys signing Will Smith and Tex Hoy. They were both mercurial halfbacks in the Newcastle Knights under 16s, about 10 years apart. Will Smith comes from a die hard Rugby League family. He plays every year in the Koori Knockout for Newcastle All Blacks - which is a rugby league carnival for NSW Aboriginal players where you will see some of the rawest, toughest, RL played anywhere. You can put Will anywhere - fullback, centre, halfback, hooker. He's a born footy player who gets in and does any job you need him to do. The fact that he's never specialised has probably cost him a lot of firstgrade starts. Tex has a pretty similar skillset to Will, but he doesn't have the same grit and toughness. On the other hand, he's a lot younger and hasn't been beat up in the NRL, NSW cup and Koori knockout for over a decade like Will. Very few Rugby League players come from inner city Newcastle New South Wales. Off the top of my head I can name Will Smith, Tex Hoy, Luke Yates, Mitch Garbutt - can't think of anyone else.
