We have also let a lot of young players go, even Jack himself forced Golding out of his position and had to move on.
Jack has looked ok in the few games he’s played this year but then was injured, again.
Turning into Warrington? Just look at the young players we do have in the squad, we’re hardly shunning home grown players in a big way.
Hull only have until next week to trigger the option of signing him thst might not happen and he is still a Leeds player. The big question for Jack is can he stay fit for any length of time, he simply hasn’t managed that in 3 or more years for us. I hope for his sake he can.
JJB had a similar injury record but we didn't palm him off and that turned out OK. We might well have young players in the squad but the likes of Thompson, Donaldson, Dwyer, Hardaker etc are getting picked now most weeks. How many young players are actually getting picked especially in the backs? Newman is suspended so we play Martin in the centre - hardly giving a young player a chance?
Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

What salary was JJB on when he was injured? I bet not the same as Jack. and How many games had he played in his first 5 years?
I think you clearly have an issue with the Hardaker signing - which is fine that's your opinion but Id say Hardaker is the better player and again Jack is on Loan it's not made permanent just yet so he may well be back with us at some point.
I don't particularly want Jack to leave as I think he has massive potential but the fact is he has been in the first team squad for 5 years and has only played 80 games.

I listened to a podcast a few weeks ago with Craig Harrison and Some other herberts who could talk a glass eye to sleep. Harrison was talking in generic terms about A coach who has players on big Contracts that he can’t shift but is determined to make changes and therefore looks at moving on other players he values more highly.
You didn’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to guess who he might be talking about.
For next year, we will have lost Mellor, broadbent, and Bodene. I’d also expect Briscoe and Dwyer to go. IF we also lost Walker and Sutcliffe with likely Zak and Sangerre coming in then we should still have a fair bit of cap to play with.

To be fair to them they’ve got 12 missing. Last week with 5 on debut they jagged a derby win. They will have been drained emotionally and Wigan’s pace in the back 3 is exceptional. Plus some of Fc’s Older players are not very good anymore. There are similarities with us but think we are better placed for next year at the moment. Still ahead of us in the table in 5th which emphasises how many average to poor teams are in SL
