What a player this guy is, he needs to start every game. Set the tone right from his first drive, 140m on Sunday, he was sitting rovers players down left right and centre, they just couldn't deal with him, getting us straight up over the 20m line after every kick off. I think we kind of just expect or are used to his performances every week but doesn't get as much credit as he deserves, every bit as good as Walmsley for me.

You only have to go on other clubs forums to read how much fans rate him.

Both Satae and Sao have been brilliant buys and you have to thank Radford for that.

Absolutely for all Radfords faults his recruitment wasn't one of them I can't recall to many signings that weren't a success (Apart from Jones).

Super prop. Really carried us since he's been here. Helps swing momentum our way when he's on the pitch.

Not to turn this into a Radford bashing thread but apart from probably 15 - 17 his recruitment wasn't fantastic. We've bought plenty of duds

I'd forgotten about Jones. Thanks for reminding me!

Just about the only sportsman who had long covid I recall. Suppose he was just unlucky.

I wouldn't put the recruitment on Radders - he won't have known Chris Satae playing in the reserve comp in Australia. A lot of our overseas signings were prompted by Motu, or people like Matthew Head recommending players to the club

Fonua second time round was a costly mistake.

Brilliant player, great find by the club. Think we were a bit guilty of burning him out last season, he looked out on his feet towards back end of last season especially on the back of a bout with Covid. Fair play to BH, he's spelled him much better this year. I do think he should be starting most games mind.

Fair point but lots of players will get recommended but it was Radford who had the final say. Also Radford was described by Andy Last as a rugby league geek so he may well have known about them.

Motu would have been more informed about the players character and personality.

Tuson, Thompson, Sa, Carvell, Howarth, Miloudi, Bienek, Harris, Dawson-Jones, Langtree, Nzoungou, Johnstone, Jones, Fonua

They'll be some costly mistakes in there.

Anyway, we all like Chris Satae  he's good!
