The club have for the past 3-4 years been let down by the same players so anyone blaming anybody else apart from that certain little group are living in la la land
Eh? I’m trying to have a rational debate..It’s childish for posters to suggest Connor criticism is anything to do with Shaul. It’s nonsense to suggest that Connor isn’t part of the leadership group . The spine of the team is the leadership as that where the team calls and plays are from. We all want fc to succeed but for the past 4 seasons we have had continual blow out scores. If posters read again what I’m saying is that the core leaders ( which clearly Connor is one of them ) is letting us down It’s Not Just Connor!!!

You have no idea if that's true or not, otherwise these two clubs would just sign all the best players in SL, which isn't going to happen for many reason including the salary cap.

I'd quit right now if I were you. If you're going to have a rational argument then you need some facts to back your argument up. Jake is NOT a member of the leadership group, he's just a very talented player who never does anything but his best for the team. Please tell us how you're going to replace the 20 try assists that he'd already made before his injury. Who else shows the same enthusiasm and will to win, that's right, with the exception of the islanders there's nobody.

The issue is not Jake Connor the issue as Dave K has alluded to is the club haven't really given him anyone to support him in terms of sharing the load of creating opportunities other than the Sneyd kicks. Connor is the type of player you build a team around not expect him to do everything which by and large is where I believe a lot of his frustration comes from.
If we manage to get a FB with real pace that has the ability to link up and support play then Connor would be a devastating threat if given a free roaming role.
I think the club have realised what a full back with real pace can offer in todays game and i fully expect if that happens then Jake will play at 6. It will be interesting to see how Walker plays over the next months as when he burst onto the scene he was hailed as a future star at Leeds but his injuries like many other players set him back and now as we know he is now their third choice full back. Dont expect to see a speedster like Bevan French and his ball handling is on a par with Jamie Shaul but if he can get some confidence behind him then he can do a job but would not like to see him signed permanently

I get you maybe dont like the sledging(which happens in every sport and by most players) but he is the only player in our team with a genuine Rugby brain. He sometimes tries one trick too many but id imagine his errors would be far less with better players around him.
I often think Connor looks like he is upset or talking alot because he has lot more passion then most in our squad. Some of our players dont look arsed if we lose.
I mean international selection is nothing to gage a player on these days, Dan Sarginson got picked for godsake.
