Only positive from today. A bit of effort, yes also cheaper tickets, and we get a decent gate with a good away crowd. Shame we were so poor defensively, however for a period in the second the game seemed to go into a bit of an exhibition match, Wigan far enough in front to start chancing it, more then they already were, and Trinity far enough behind to try risky plays.

It was frustratingly typical when we had the period of 15 minutes or so at 22-40 that we had Fafita do a ball steal on the 5th tackle, Miller throw the ball direct into the crowd on our 2nd tackle and Tanganoa concede a cheap shot penalty. We virtually invited Wigan to get that final late score.

There was actually plenty of room on the North stand - furthest away from Doncaster Road.
Must say the crowd announcement surprised me but good to see.

Remember that we are still on restricted capacity.
There is room for 10000+ comfortable but, not allowed.

It was great to see the place with a decent crowd in there and hopefully, when the improvements are complete, we can start and see numbers increasing.

It will be interesting to see what kind of attendances we can get when the East Stand has gone and where everyone will be accommodated.

There was lots of room in the North stand, the limit seems a little under done.

From where i was sitting in the East Stand, both extreme ends of the N S appeared to be fenced off, Has any work started on the terrace refurbishment yet?

Yeah, 1500 maximum capacity in the North stand does seem a little low as there was plenty of room to spare, so why so low I don't know...could safely get 2000 in there ??
Although both ends were fenced off, there is no sign of any work having started there yet.

Isn't the capacity of the various areas linked to the available exits routes rather than how much space you are surrounded by?

I would guess the sudden appearance of this and other restrictions probably follows a less than positive inspection on the ground and safety measures. I doubt the club would voluntarily reduce the capacity in the North Stand when they are losing the East Stand. What are they going to do with the East Stand paddock area during the redevelopment, any mention anywhere.
