Ah sorry I was thinking the forward from hull. Apologies PB.
It was mentioned once in the build up to the Salford game and by WP that we are interested yes. I hope we don’t pursue that. The Salford game he looked their most ineffective forward.
We are likely going to have at least a handful of players come in so I think we will just have to wait and see before we judge.
For what it’s worth I think Miller, Batchelor have gone. But we will have to wait and see. It’s still too early to judge how next years team will look

We have a bunch of average players ,many well into their twilight years, Then we have Hood Gaskill and Lineham
As far as additions, every other SL side seems to be getting well sorted , all we are hearing is Taylor and Gale. I dont know about you, but I find it quite depressing and uninspiring .
It's still a guess. If any are to go it's would then allow more money to keep the others.

I am sorry but we have to face that our track record of signing new players is somewhat questionable. I actually hope none of them leave because I fear what may be brought in to replace them.

So a guess then?

Well unless I am their agent then yes it is my assumption based on the article from Miller and no mention either from the club or the players in respect of Batchelor and TJ. I am sure if they were still in negotiations they would have said so. I wonder on what basis you believe them to be staying, is it the well worn fingers crossed or just blind faith.

I’m not convinced on TJ yet. It could be a case that his groin injury has de-railed a potential move. Also Yaha resigned for Catalans after TJ’s injury. Some teams willing to take a punt on him may not now be as keen. This may put us back in the driving seat for his signing. It’s all guesswork at the moment until something officials announced. TJ is my favourite player but if he goes I do rate Murphy too. It’s just a matter of waiting till somethings announced.

It must be difficult for players to commit to us when we are not 100% guaranteed to stay up, especially after last weeks shambolics. I genuinely wouldn’t feel badly on anyone wanting to leave to either progress their careers or for more money, it’s a short career. I’m sure things behind the scenes will be busy in regards to comings and goings. We need to be realistic with our transfer expectations, we have done ourselves no favours being in this position in the league, as we will be way down the pecking order of potential suitors for decent players, or suitable players for us. Hopefully news of 2023 squad will come out when we have more of a buffer over Toulouse, which we can make happen tomorrow (not feeling too confident) or Magic weekend.

A number of players are on inflated contracts and we need to get them back to a position where there is status-quo within the club regards a wage structure.
Miller is on a big wage probably more than he brings to the table and doesn’t want to drop from that so is rightly for him looking elsewhere.
Wakefield have to start making some tough decisions and do what is right for the club. If he wants more than we believe he is worth then he leaves and we look for a replacement.
We have been here before handing out contracts which simply do not provide value for money and we need to phase them out. As contracts wind down we have an opportunity to do that, but the key is obviously finding players to replace them that strengthen us across the park.
