You really shouldn’t judge others by own despicably low standards. I know at least four people who would happily invest so long as it was a well presented offer. None of them would ever expect to see a financial return, just a playing one.
A couple of weeks ago I received an email that I think people with player sponsorships etc will have received. I’m away at the moment. But when I get back I’ll ask the club for their thoughts on the idea and see what they have to say… It does no harm to inquire..

Yes, there are some committed fans out there, I am one, and back in the days of Ted he cam up with the scheme of 500 people putting £1,000. Into the club, via an Escrow account, if not enough people joined the scheme then the monies were returned. Happy to say I got my money back.

Someone has an idea to generate income Scarlet moans about it
Club says they don't have a lot of money Scarlet moans about it
Supporters try to generate interest and talk to club Scarlet moans about it

It’s an idea but one tried by Ted, if there are 100 supporters willing to give the club £1000 each and I say good luck to them. I am sure Vastman will speak to the club about it and come up with some scheme. With regards Trinity what do any of us know about the finances of the club I doubt even Vastman has any actual idea other than what he is being fed by the club. I am not happy because we appear to consider our financial position a badge of honour something to declare at every opportunity. We are unique in this view maybe there could be a reason for this. I am not going to change my stance on player recruitment. We don’t help matters with our current stance and even you must accept that we are weakening our squad each season and the end of this could see a further reduction of quality. I know we have not been paying for the loan on the ground and I presume there is no rent on a property we own so how much did it save us and what did we spend that on. I am sorry PT if negative comments upset your perfect Trinity world but we have just lose by 64 points to a team that was on the same number of points. I believe your only comment was “ I am glad that’s over” I may be wrong but nothing else, like Vastman let’s move on, the problem is that the squad will basically still be the same for Wigan Have we heard what is wrong with Hall from the club.

Ok, if we’re going to be reasonable.
Rightly or wrongly Ted had a reputation, Carter doesn’t.
The club was bust at the time so the money was to plug a gap as far as most were concerned.
BV is now happening, for real, an advantage Ted never had.
In other words there is far more to invest in now than there was then.
To a lot of Trinity fans 1k is beyond them. However to some it’s well within their capability.
We have maybe 2000 full on fans. I’m absolutely certain that by the national average I’d say about 20% of those could afford 1k. That’s 400 so 100 from that is possible.

What the hell has Nigel Wright to do with the current regime.
You really are desperate.
I assume then you have a British car, because clearly by your logic you couldn't possibly have a German or Japanese car due to WW2. As for the Italians, damn those Romans
Regarding the discussion of 500 people donating £1000 it’s a good idea but only if there’s some credible and tangible outcome.
For example, if there was a scope to renovate the west stand with a 2000-2500 stand then you’d probably have some success. £500000 probably wouldn’t be enough so the club would likely have to match the donation to achieve something credible.
If there was scope to re- surface the west stand with new barriers with a roof and replace those awful boxes with some sort of club room that services away fans refreshments and a bar it would be be highly likely most people would donate who were able imo.
Not sure how much these things cost but a renovation for 1 million would be a fairly significant change looking at the state of it now.

I understand that some people have to point out the negatives in a situation… some will prefer to seek out the positives… some will keep quiet… others will be overly vocal… some will not see away in which to change… others will continually suggest new ideas and initiatives…
We lost heavily on Sunday… not the worst defeat I’ve ever seen… but it’s up there amongst them… I’ve seen us inflict similar defeats on comparative teams… but not often …
What is abundantly clear to me is that the club … players, coaches, directors, fans, sponsors are not all pulling in the same direction…
And despite my 40plus years in business, organisational culture… and coaching … I have no idea how this can be addressed … not a clue!
