Not sure whats wrong with that?

Reading some of the comments from one of our supporters Facebook groups, that they’ve been asked to take a 25% pay cut.

Hope this isn’t true, but shocking if it is.

Out of curiosity, are we still paying Chessie

I cannot see the 25% reduction being true even for our club because it would make no sense. We are struggling for survival therefore let’s demotivate the players, no I cannot see it plus I am sure it would be a breach of their contract and what can the club do if all said no, sack them, I wonder how many would actually be disappointed.

Thankfully, Toulouse will probably keep us up, and the upgraded ground might bring more money in, so the future might get brighter, but we looked like a pub team out there today.

I thought Poching has rescued his job with the two wins but I think they were blips. Some people are just meant to be assistants. But I guess he was cheap because he fancied a go at it. Well, it's time to spend on coaches, not has-been players like Lineham.

The best we can hope for is that the team coming up isn't good enough each time until the upgraded ground improves income, but it doesn't make you want to spend an afternoon watching dross like that.

They should take a 100% pay cut this week.

Wire fan in peace here... I don't know if anyone has seen the highlights yet on YouTube but there's got to be something dodgy going on there.

Not just the last try but if you go to 2:55 on the video, the Touch Judge (I think) clearly calls "forward, forward, forward" and stops running the line. It's then blatantly ignored by the ref.

Not every game is going to be a blowout like that one. but any other week those 8-12 points conceded so unfairly could be the difference between a win and loss.

You guys will bounce back though.

Couldn't agree more there, though I do part sympathise with the players here.

I wouldn't have been happy with a pay cut like that in my day

Trojan Horse wrote:Yes it was awful. Minns and Croft were directly responsible for around 6 of the try’s and Gaskell could have prevented 2 at least had he have tackled the man with the ball. They jumped out of position and hit the wrong man leaving overlaps more than once. Poor Murphy was left 3 on 1 at one point. It was a shambles out wide was defence.

I don’t think the forwards were terrible today but the game was played on the edges and we were completely exposed out wide.

Gaskell was absolutely shocking and responsible for most of the Salford tries! . He never moved to cover the overlaps leaving us a man short every time, and when he could be bothered it was at a jog and miles too late. Absolutely bone idle and should not play again. A rubbish signing that should be no where near our starting line up.

We let Ryan Hampshire go, who is a better FB than Gaskell and a better winger than Lineham. Go figure that one out

Just watched it back and you're right. I don't mind the ref having the final say but it was so blatantly forward. And Burgess put his foot on the ground when the ball was still a couple of feet in the air. Missed by three officials who were right by it. From the stands, it looked obviously in touch.

I'll console myself with the thought that we only got stuffed 62-10

Watched the highlights and kept an eye specifically on Gaskell for each try. I don't think I've ever seen anyone as obviously out of position. Not a full back in a million years. He was never near the try scorers, ambled around, too slow. On the kick through in the second half, he was at the play the ball, so a kick was obvious, but still made no effort to get back.

It would have helped if Miller had been more concerned about it.

If Willie thinks he is a full-back, he's deluded. But why couldn't he see that during training?
