No one seems to know how to make a decision as to whether to try and catch it before it bounces or leaves it to bounce and then decide what to do. This happened at least twice last night and in previous matches. It's a bad habit we are creeping into. Is it lack of communication or what.

why is abbreviation such a long word?

There was a swirling wind last night- which is why the Kilmer bank caught fire! and the sun was low in the eyes in the second half…… just saying…..
I honestly can’t believe with the way we’ve played the last few weeks, and the adversity we’ve come through with positivity your only contribution is to come on here and make s negative comment.

To be fair, he does have a point.

However, it only tends to be spiral bombs that we have problems with. And in all honesty, there's not too much wrong with that as if they are hit sweetly, they can be undefendable. We certainly had problems with a couple in the cup final.

My biggest issue is that since Danny Brough left, we don't seem to have anyone who can execute them with any great effect. It's definitely a skill to pull one off, but I'd be interested to know if we have anyone to teach it?

as the only contribution made in several weeks - including in the weeks leading up to qualification for the final- a bit rich really to make a post of this type.. Kicking doesn’t seem to be high on the list of tactics- but that’s because Watson plays to the strengths of the players he has. If those strengths change next season then those tactics may change.

Danny’s busy delivering meat.

I’m sure we could Google it.
Much as he was a brilliant player, and much as I loved seeing him play I’m not sure having him back in any capacity would be a good idea.
once his pals grix and robbo werent in the squad to ‘temper his temper’ things seemed to go sour.
He wasn’t particularly complimentary towards our young players when he was at our club- one of our then young players has since told me Danny told him he might as well give up playing as he wasn’t good enough and would never make it (he’s still playing professionally, but no longer at our club)
I dont think his character is a good one to have around- we have a very good team bond at the moment. Watson worked hard and got rid of bad apples to promote that. Let’s not spoil it.

The OP made a valid point. It is an accurate observation whether people feel that is negative is irrelevant .
We struggled under the spiral kicks.

im sure the opposition also dropped a couple.
safest pair of hands we have is golding, usually mr reliable at the back which kind of tells a story.
regardless - not sure how getting danny brough back would solve the perceived issue........

Our kicking game is not as good since Broughy left.
If the coaches are struggling to improve it why not offer Broughy payment for a few coaching sessions with the likes of pryce and Russell on a consultancy basis .
In the same way you might ask any ex or current RU fly half to teach our players how to kick for touch . They regularly kick 40 m whilst we often struggle to get 20 . ( that is something common to RL as a whole touch finding kicking is dire compared to RU).
