I've no problem with Austin for another year - he's shown some decent glimpses at times and has a good kicking game. Sezer needs to get fit and have a run of games before we judge him. And if Zak keeps his nose clean (literally.....) I could see him getting another year. He's a real attacking threat at FB.
We all know front row is the problem. We still don't know if Holroyd can stay fit (but we do know he can punch now....). Long minutes has made Prior look exhausted last few weeks, but remember how good he was last season. If we get enough bodies for the correct rotation, Prior is still useful for another year. I think Rohan will start to get more out of Tetevano. He wasn't used properly by Agar. He should be an impact prop. Again, too many minutes in games, because we've only had 2 props in the matchday squad! I thought he had his best game for Leeds against Wire.
Bring in a young, hungry prop from the Queensland Cup comp with Rohan's connections. Then a back up British 6th prop to cover injuries (and suspensions...) And we're starting to look OK for next season.

Yeah good post, fully agree. There’s a very good player in Tet…..somewhere! And Zak is Zak. He’ll be too good for most defence’s…..

Played and had a groin injury, yes it’s painful and restrictive, lets see how he goes, when fit, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets “homesick” i’m just not convinced he wants to be here at all, but lets see how it pans out. Yes he’s a good player “when fit” and committed!

Austin was up for a charge. Contact with the referee? Any one know why, Only thing i can think off was he tapped the ref on the arm to ask him him something, the ref answers and he walked away. Unless it’s something else
Case Number: ON/998/22
Blake Austin #6, Leeds
Competition: Super League
Match: Warrington Wolves v Leeds Rhinos
Match Date: 2022-06-03
Incident: Contact with the Referee
Decision: No charge
Charge Detail: Footage inconclusive as to any contact. Player is not aggressive, and action is fleeting.

Tetevano is just a solid up and down prop - no flashy offloads or line breaks. None of our props really bend the line just through size, and we generally get rolled backwards in defence for the same reason.
Watching the Wire game halfback is going to be interesting. Myler had some lovely touches but also long spells with not much going on. Austin was the one calling the shots and moving the forwards around. Will be interesting to see what happens when Sezer is fit, but right now I'd be looking at Myler off the bench instead of Dwyer. Dwyer brings energy but not a lot of quality (even if he didn't throw any shockers against Warrington there were still times he opted to run when a quick pass would have been better).
