No shame in that result against the best team that has ever been put together in the Championship. I said elsewhere that if they added a couple of quality half backs to that team I reckon then this team would be good enough for a mid table finish in SL. As it is its now so important that we get 3rd and avoid another trip over there in the playoffs.

Reffed to SL standard then............ my only issue with that stuff is when its all one way - he pulled neither yesterday.

Fax didn't do much wrong but we were back to our best defensively, which we seemed to forget about on Thursday.

We missed Mellor again yesterday but Higano was better than at Barrow, like the look of your FB.

I didn't see that coming! I wonder when the last time was that a team nilled someone and then got nilled theirselves in the next match. It's important to bounce back straight away because we are a very good side and need to keep our belief in ourselves. Leigh have obviously assembled a SL quality side and until we find a benefactor like DB we are always going to be up against it, hence low attendances. What the Halifax public need to know though, is that this Fax team are very good to watch and deserve supporting. Up The Fax!

Money means nothing unless you have more than Salford & Wakey put together & already have the bones of a Super League team.

I am (this season) drawn to feeling that the Championship would be better off without big spenders like Leigh & Fev. Interested to hear what fans of other clubs feel about that ?

Spot on.
A top end SL or good NRL standard Stand Off would almost complete Leigh & make us nearly Super League ready (barr having too many overseas players) with only a little trimming & tweaking required.

Tough to watch that from my point of view. I thought for the first 10 minutes we went set for set pretty well making good meters up the middle and at that point leigh was not defending like they would later in the game. But leighs sheer physical presence across the park just seemed to grind us down both mentally and physically we looked like it was us who had played on thursday even early on in the game. Having listened to Simon's post match interview i agree with him when he said that we went into our shells and rolled over too easily not through a lack of effort but with the way our attack was pretty much none existent and because of that we did not do ourselves justice. All in all i did not expect us to win but thought we could of got closer then we did and that is disappointing. On to Whitehaven they won yesterday so that should give them a bit of a lift and we need to get back on the horse quickly starting with a win on sunday.
