Definitely fees like you've thrown it away when you concede at such a late moment in the game. Enjoyed the game though, great stadium, great atmosphere.
Wigan know how to hang in there, whether they are playing well or not. They have the grit and determination. French and Field scared me every time they got the ball though I thought we handled them well overall.
I cant comment on the reffing yet as I haven't watched it. What does mickey me off though without even watching it back is when penalties are given for poop tackles, the tackle needs reviewing, and action taken on the field to help the hindered players team. Said players getting away with it and then action being taken post game is utterly pointless and does not help the team with the fouled player.
And that applies to Huddersfield or whoever. We have certainly been effected by this on a number of occasions this season. Penalty given, no yellow/red, banned post game. It really gets on my tits.
Anyway, congratulations to Wigan, they got the job done.
Huddersfield performed outstandingly controlling large part of the game. Our work rate, effort, drive was outstanding throughout. Id have preferred us to have taken a few more chances on the last in the 20 to score again though. So a tactical observation instead of plainly just turning over. I supposed its easy to after-time though. In reality we were 3mins from winning - so the tactics Watson had employed had worked through the game and I wouldn't be writing this if we'd held on.
Smith got too much time for his last kick through the create the try. We left the door ajar. They would have scored a similar play in the first half should Smith not have kicked too long into touch.
Missing conversion and penalty kicks at goal is part of the game. But they carry too big a reward to not just write them off.
Overall it still stings but I look forward to the remainder of the season now and getting into the playoffs!!

Never mind stars then- What you need at wakey now snowie is a miracle- and no kicker of goals- decent or not is going to help you. What you need is a decent coach. WP nice guy that he is, is not that and I’m afraid with Norman and Peats in Toulouse’s spine, bringing some direction to their squad- who also appear to have improved greatly fitness wise, A miracle could be all that saves Wakefield if you insist on sticking with what you have.
yeap you can then have the last laugh if we go down

I see that grub Morgan Smithies has received a 4 game ban for 2 separate incidents. So at the very least he should have been sin binned twice or sent off, but the Ref bottled it because it was a final. You lucky, lucky pies. At least you have no chance of winning the Grand Final, so there is a God after all. Up the Latics !

Bit like he bottled giving us a late penalty for the incident that has seen Yates banned for 2 games. Luckily he didn't give it, we scored on the next tackle.

how do you know we have no chance of winning the grand final, none of our players are good enough to get in the stains team but here we are having beat them in the semi and winning the cup final. this is only directed at the Lobby.

Everyone saying that the ref bottled it by not sin binning players should look back at previous Challenge Cup Finals. I can't rememeber a single player being sin binned for at least the last 10 years., Looks like a directive to referee's to me.
