What a waste of space and money. I hope we can get rid of himwithout having to pay anything. He's just a liability. Being banned for 9 out a possible 16 games by the time his ban ends is just not acceptable and should not be acceptable to the club either. Just send him down the road!

I'd give him the season to see if he can sort himself out ...... maybe the new coach can get through to him in the next month or so.

He is though a complete liability at the moment and if his discipline doesn't improve he has to go.

The issue is that he now has a name and refs and the sdisciplinary panel are judging him on that basis. Thats his own fault and he needs to change his game. He can be a really good player without having to put the "big shots" on opponents in a game as he will cop a ban every time he mistimes one.
Not defending Bentley but the inconsistency is shocking from the way we enforce the rules. Wait till the world cup at the end of the year and tackles that are getting yellows now and a ban will not be getting pulled up. Or if they do and say its an aussie forward it will be one match ban at the most.

Watch any NRL game and you'll see similar tackles to some of those resulting in bans in SL barely raising an eyebrow. The sport is cleaner now than its ever been and yet the Disciplinary is reacting like its the 1950s. I understand the need to protect players and the sport from future litigation, but we need to accept some risks.

Having said that Bentley needs to pull his neck in.

It's a shame a he was absolutely superb against Wakey. Best forward on the field by plenty.

Absolutely! The games are worlds apart now. Not only is it faster and more skilful the NRL is now more aggressive which is about the only quality we used to be able to match them on.

They’re asking 18 stone blokes to play Tiddly Winks at 100mph!

I agree he could be a really good player if he sorts his discipline out. Otherwise he has to go. He has already had a chance to prove himself this season and fails every time he plays. How much time do you give a professional player?

More than half a season and with a settled coach?
