Aye, the best performance of the season. Having settled half backs makes the world of difference although there were good displays throughout the team. Sheffield couldn't cope with us at times and Aston's spoiling tactics backfired on him spectacularly. Hopefully we can repeat that level in front of a big following at York next weekend. Up The Fax!

Yes i agree with all of the post match comments so far. Tibbs a real threat in attack and much more solid in defence then against newcastle it would be very harsh to drop him if he can keep up that level of performance. And how woody didn't get man of the match i don't know he was a constant threat with the ball and pulled off some cracking one on one try saving tackles. As fancy as some of sheffield ball movement was they lacked punch through the middle and we looked dominant in that area with all the pack playing there part. And now we move onto york who look a far more all-round stronger side then they did last season so this should be a cracking game which we could really do with winning in the race to finish third which i think will be between fax, batley, and york.
The first half was by a mile the best so far this season. Every player at the top of their game. Woody was outstanding as was Jouffret. Tibbs is coming along in leaps and bounds and looks to have that magic ingredient - pace. All the pack put in a shift and seemed to run with more aggression than earlier in the season. Gwaze must have duracell batteries in his motor. Larroyer rolled back the years and bust just about every tackle. We played heads up and Eagles just could not cope. Second half was after the kings feast. Sheffield came out having had an Aston team talk! Niggled and moaned just like the boss but managed to spoil some of our cohesion. It might be greedy but if we put a whole 80 together we will stuff somebody. Bring on York, time to buy my ticket as hopefully it should be a cracker.

Not much happened for the first 10 mins and then some cracking plays and movement to sweep in for some quality scores. A bit more erratic in the second 40 but showed we could mix it in the middle during normal play and when it got a bit tasty. Got to be pleased with that overall team performance with a hand full of players with mom shouts.
