DB has put his money where is mouth is and purchased what is potentially the strongest team in the clubs history. This is the first time that Television rights have been available for bidding and Our League and Premier Sports have stepped in to show some Championship entertainment. Leigh v Whitehaven – 3,334 Leigh v Bradford – 2,706 (TV) Leigh v Widnes – 2,567 (TV) Leigh v Newcastle – 3,009 Leigh v Dewsbury – 2,569 (TV) Leigh v London – 2,587 Leigh v Sheffield – 2,431 (TV) Leigh v Sheffield – 2,110 (TV) The attendances are now very poor, considering that Leigh have normally had 3000+ crowds for as long as I can remember.
Is this a television issue, economic or due to the post Super League relegation season? Can we expect an increase in interest now we have reached a final?

I think all 3 points you make have contributed tbh, plus performances are not that really exciting to watch either. However, Lammy has said it's where we want to be, so maybe there's more to come.
I can only speak for myself. As a long time fan, I haven’t been to a single game this season and the reason is purely financial. Choosing between food or a match isn’t a choice.

C L, I noticed that quite a few tickets at the turnstiles was showing access denied. Not sure if that had anything to do with the total.

In completely and totally unrelated news, gate receipts for league games are retained by the home team, whereas they are shared in the 1895 Cup (barring the final, where IIRC the 1895 Cup teams get zilch from the gate).

I was in the queue and saw it 3 times whilst i was waiting. Others were complaining about it too in the stadium after. Have you ever got anything intellectual to say about anything?
