We've lost many a semi final and final. Saints fans are fine with it. We'll just win the next one, it's not that big a deal. Good on Wigan and Huddersfield, hope they enjoy the day.

In perspective the Wigoons will never thrash the Saints 75-0 in a challenge cup match in the superleague era, the 2 pt win was excellent in Wigoon terms though.
We had lost to Leeds 71-0 week before no problem. But forgot to mention lets be honest 27-0 in a final in front of a BBC cameras was embarrassing to the Stains fans at the time and was very significant and historically longer lasting.

Well, I guess they said just that after the GF loss in 2007
and 2008
and 2009
and 2010
and 2011.......
(Noting of course since 2011, they gone to to win 4, not 10).

So what? You're trying to troll a St Helens fan about success? Really? It's sport, we're not going to win everything every year and don't expect to either. I honestly don't even care as long as the club is trying to achieve that.
Nope, just your misplaced confidence (or some might say arrogance) that your club will always assume that "we'll just win the next one, it's no big deal".

I think you confusing arrogance with expectations and fact. Its something like Saints 23 finals with 70% success, Leeds 20 finals with 60% success, Wigan 17 finals with 47%.
The most important thing is that Saints have been competitive for around 23 out of the 26 seasons of superleague, whilst the likes of Bradford, Wigan amd Leeds have had much longer periods of low points. Being competitive nearly every season give saints fans high expections other opposition fans see it as arrogance at times.
The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you. Welsby-Dodd-Simms-Eaves-Rizzelli, not Eastmond...the future is coming.
I'm sure the regular post Topics that turn up on here such as "Who Can Stop St Helens...?" don't help to detract from the perceptions some people have of your club.
The quote I took up on was the "We'll just win the next one, it's not that big a deal" - esp. noting too that you've been to just 2 CC Finals since 2009 (W1 L1), whilst in the same period it's been W4 L3 in GFs, so that's around a 55% (5 from 9) win ratio.
Notably the poster had backtracked to more of a reasonable, balanced, view that they are happy to win/lose as it's sport.
St Helens will win the grand final though. Its nailed on. Had they been at full strength they would have put about 50 on that wigan team. Wigans full back is an absolute liability in defense. Bar the lucky tackle on Hurrell when he just closed his eyes and hoped for the best he was at fault for every saints try
