I noted that when asked about the cost of living crisis he offered nothing but to suggest we have to lump it but when those high skilled high paid jobs come along everything will be ok. What an absolute waste of a human he is, stuff the less fortunate but yet sadly many will still believe him.

Rather than (alleged) flare, he'd be better off swallowing the truth pill and doing something meaningful about the cost of living crisis.
10% inflation, plus interest rate hikes will certainly make the public sector pay settlements interesting.

As usual, the MP's will be ok but, the rest will be expected to accept 2% if they are lucky.

Expect the "we're all in this together" nonsense coming out again.

Strikes in the Autumn anyone ?

What will they strike about?? Do unions still exist?

It's his automatic defence mode if it helps :SHOOT:

Early indications suggest labours less than impressed in the elections.
Symbolic wins is now looking like the strap line.
Boris is so lucky to have KS opposite him

Well, with public sector wages having been suppressed for the last 10+ years and raging inflation, there will be some pretty disgruntled staff.
They will either move on or perhaps feel the need to take action and yes, unions do still exist.

There were/are two things I was looking for in the Labour performance:
What happens in Scotland, recovery there is absolutely fundamental to them becoming largest party in the next parliament. We'll see later.

Then there's the so-called Red Wall. If these areas behaved like they did in the 2019 General Election Labour would be losing lots of seats. As it stands they seem to have held up pretty well which is comforting for them to a degree - replayed in a General they would win quite a few seats back.

Overall the best Labour can aim for is still to be the largest party in the Commons next time. Given how toxic the Tories are they should then be able to cobble together a confidence/supply arrangement with LDs, SNP, SDLP and Alliance.

The Tories have lost something like 20% of the seats they were defending which is pretty calamitous really. The real winners are the Greens, and especially the Lib Dems :D The latter is important as many gains have come at the expense of the Tories in affluent places where that party's English nationalism is not a good sell.

If I was one of your lot I would not be interested in any other parties performances only that of my own which for you is the Lib Dems, shouldn't you be worried about your own party going very close to extinction instead of worrying what's happening in Scotland where clearly most of them don't want to be part of the UK.

Quite clearly, you only have to look at the P&O debacle to see just how sharp the unions teeth are.

What a strange post. Do you pay zero attention to the rest of Super League just because Wakefield are a bit rubbish at the moment?

Also, in case you hadn't noticed, the Liberal Democrats are the biggest winners from the evening.
