Hes not a popular player though so doubt many will agree, hes hard as nails.

Hard as nails

If we want to progress, we need to be replacing the likes of Johnstone, he won't be on peanuts to move his family across the country. His place in the squad should be a young player who would be a 3rd of his salary .

Hardworking defender is how I'd describe him, doesn't offer much else.

Have you even seen his stats ? You amaze me you honestley do. Hes offered more then Lane at 13 this season.

Our worst performances this season have come when he hasnt played, so to say he offers nothing else is way off the mark.

As for the guy who mentioned hooker, hes played there once this season.

I'd love you to share with me some stats, particularly attacking ones, 0 clean breaks and 0 tries, with 6 tackle busts are the highlights.

Lane is a much better player, but is better out wide than at 13.

Johnstone had a chance this week to show some attacking flair, but failed to produce anything in a dominate team performance against bottom of the league

He is too slow for hooker and is ok at 13 if you want a defensive 13, who offers little in attack or go forward. Much rather have Brown or Fash there. We can use his cap money much better IMO, same goes for a couple of other players including Bowden.

I think he has an option of optional year, but we should be looking at a 3 year deal.

Seems to have played for years but only 21.

Can’t offer too much info but the club are pretty keen to keep hold of him, however as mentioned in the OOC thread, a lot of the deals are dependent on an improved deal with SMC. There’s a couple clubs interested and one in particular could prove tough for the club to fight against.

Wynne is a Hull lad so will want to stay especially now that Griffin is no longer first choice left centre on current form.
Swift will also benefit from having either Wynne or Mitch at left centre.
Wynne who has a bit of pace and great footwork to create space and Mitch for his defence

I'm a big fan of Wynne, but as you imply £££ elsewhere might be too tempting. Would be really disappointing.

We have a 1 year option on Wynne, keeping him for another year at least.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Think keeping him on a 1 year deal is a no brainer. I have seen people talk about his age but they don't realise how late he was to the game so he hasn't got many 'miles on the clock' for somebody almost 34.

Things just happen when Wynne has the ball and he has the uncanny knack of shrugging off tackles. As you have said a few times in this thread he has got to be our starting left centre going forward and Griff moved to the back row to cover Dre.
