Did Gannon complete the tackle on Coote after the collision or did he try and pick Coote up or what? Did anyone notice it?
Or was it as they was walking off with the physio? Somebody patted one of them on the head as they was walking off cos guy behind me commented how clever it was when a player had a head knock.

It shows it on the superleague show, he tries to pick him up, not particularly heavily he just pulls on his shirt.
I honestly cant believe theyve banned Gannon for 2 matches.
Rightly or wrongly, hes shown genuine concern, bent both legs, put his hands under Coote in an attempt to put him in the recovery position. In that split second, hes let go as the physio has pushed him out of the way. He lifted him no more than an inch.
The problem here is the disciplinary comes out and hes charged with “other contrary behaviour” for lifting an injured player. But no one remembers it. So everyone assumes hes done the old “grab em by the shirt, lift em up and drop em”.
Hes a young lad, naive, but there was literally no malice whatsoever. And it doesnt deserve a ban. A warning at worst. Even that would be harsh.

Agreed. It looked the opposite of malice. He looked like he was trying to help him (as opposed to the Gale on Lomax lift which was bs)
Naive at worst ....the RFL has this one badly wrong

Agree mate. Barry Mac should be sitting alongside him.

I'd have thought there is a strong case for an appeal. Especially if Morgan emphasises it as reactive and came from the right mindset not with any malintent
