Apart from one kick against Leeds I can't remember a time o thought that was great play by Johnstone.
Rather than trying to funny, maybe offer something to the debate.
I agree re his hooking and half back credentials. But, in both the last two games he has played his part in the defensive effort and shown the odd glimpse of attack. Certainly contributed to both wins
If Connor isn't playing like someone on here has alluded to then I can understand why he hasn't gone for hookem at 7 , Johnstone is a safe option ,will certainly tighten up defensively compared to Reynolds and end of the day it's a important 2 points to get and that is all that matters. If Mitch hadn't been called up then I'm sure shaul would have been fullback and hookem could well have started at 7

Where has this Connor not playing rumour come from? Can only assume with JJ/Lovodua halves we're playing with three loose forwards and sending everything through Connor.
