[quote="orangeman"]2 RL Clubs in London...1 is a professional side that used to ply its trade in the top flight, the other is a Pub Side made up of Ex-Pat Aussies passing through London on their travels. I suspect Belushi's get a bigger bang for their sponsorship buck than any of the Broncos....
Nice spot Orange. Minor thing but really indicative of where we are. I know many had issues with ML but I remain of the view it was just him basically doing everything behind house. Without re-hashing the debate on what he did, now he’s gone we are reduced to winging it on even the most basic things (anything do to with match day and sponsors should probably be seen as quite important IMHO) NB no blame attached to the SM volunteer who appears to have been just doing his best to fill gaps and give out some info for fans in a vacuum.
I dont know if you saw the Feed but someone posted in terms that it was a bit Mickey Mouse and someone actually had a pop back asking what did he want whistles and bells (in terms). I’d have thought the fact we retweeted the Leigh line up page - all nice and professional, might have been a pointer to the standard required.
The twitter feed was fine. Yes, we have no graphics of players with sponsors logos etc, but when we're not scoring, it really matters little. My point was that The Hoists make a bloody effort. Yes, it is a social club and yes they do have a lot of fun doing it, but one of them took the time to put together a graphic. Their match reports are always good with a player of the day announced.....I couldn't tell you who was player of the day at any of the home Broncos games this year and I suspect unless you were in the gold lounge, neither could you. That's the point. We have a Kit man, so that's that sorted for this weekends game We have a commercial manager, so match day sponsorship should be OK We don't have a marketing bod, but we do have a volunteer manning the media, so an hour on a basic graphics package would be good.......or maybe our PARTNERS at Key & Eagle could earn their crust?
I see we have a post match party planned........seems the dozen or so old farts are listened to now and again

Agree with all that Orange. We’re slightly at cross purposes here. I meant someone posted on the Twitter feed to say showing a scruffy old bit of paper was a bit Mickey Mouse as opposed to do it properly (as Leigh had and as retweeted by us). No criticism of the SM guy he’s doing his best. The club should be doing this type of thing not leaving it to a young volunteer to do on the hoof.

I've asked
Quote: @G???????X @LondonBroncosRL It seems a number of long term supporters have found themselves unable to receive Tweets or other social media updates. Might I suggest that you unblock everyone and regain some goodwill with fans who you need back onside?
Our Twitter volunteer was busy at a 7's tournament today, so intermittent updates was all the club gave.
In other news, Dave's master-plan for London RL is paying huge dividends across town, where the London Skolars got absolutely and utterly demolished 96-0 by the Cougars and now sit below Cornwall on points difference

Yes an absolute hammering and worth remembering that we only used 2 of the Skolars we plundered from their first team so really difficult to see what we did in a positive light. As I have said before, to my surprise, Latu has been decent if unremarkable Championship player. Makani I think works hard in defence but does not have the toe required to be a major attacking threat. The other Skolars, I’m sure are decent human beings and I wish them well, but I’m unconvinced they were what we required. The major concern for me is our team revolves around a short term loanee. How on earth did our recruitment get us to that place. Anyway, in the absence of a longer term recruit of correct standard I hope he sticks around for a bit as he added quality today.
