It`s a shame really as I would have been happy to have him back on loan from Wigan as we are badly in need of a FB and or centre. Signing him permanently is too big a risk but a pay as you play has some attractions until the end of the season. Even with the likes of Myler, Fusitua and Newman back we are still short of a centre. The guys a nob but so are several overseas players plying their trade over here.

Fondly !?!?!?
He still gets booed, heckled and jeered every time he's back. There's 1 or 2 who try to forget what happened and see him as improving the squad but right now the reward absolutely does not outweigh the risk...
For you however.... 20 man squad, potentially bottom of the league tonight. I think it's back to Headingley for Zak.
"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."
An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.
In a new twist it looks like he hasn’t actually been sacked , more mutual agreement. Radlinsku says he is ‘universally liked by staff and players’, and they ‘wish him all the best’ and has their full support being closer to Yorkshire. Clearly fell out with Peet but not as dramatic as it may seem…..
Wigan just dont want to lose face! the fact some of you are even contemplating this shows how far your club has fallen. if Hetherington allows him to be signed to Leeds you deserve to go down. There comes a time when the player has to realise he's not bigger than the game. He's 30 years old not a kid anymore.

We’ve signed players convicted of assaults on women . Zak hasn’t actually done anything that wrong this time. Just didn’t want to commute to Wigan…

I believe that he has signed for you.
Not sure why it hasn’t been announced. Maybe from a PR perspective you want to include Smithat at any press announcement? My source is from someone closely connected to the club so I’m assuming he isn’t winding me up.
Anyway if it is true good luck with the man child.
I can understand Wigan wanting to save face after the Chairman made a big song and dance about how they would nurture him in a better way than Leeds or Cas did. I cannot understand why we'd countenance anything other than a short term contract. Personally I wouldn't even do that, and I'd be surprised if GH has forgotten what went on before he left, not to mention all the garbage he's got up to since.

I heard yesterday from a guy who's brother plays at Wakey that Zak had been let go. He also said some other things about why that I won't repeat on here. This guy thought he'd end up at Leeds an a contract until the end of the season.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.
