[quote="Jason65"]I dont think you understand as your hatred is corrupting your brain,
/quote]] I don't have any hatred or bias against Wigan, I,m not all that bothered who beats them........I would say its more of an amusing nature. Most of my mates are from Wigan most are true Wigan Fans and one Wigoon Fan, the latter attracts my attention the former is banter.
Yoy do seem to be out of sync with situations at times and that includes with your fans. On your website you originally posted suggesting the Powell was not all that bad, there were quite a few Wigan fans saying different on a more serious note. You then edited your original post and removed the "not all that bad" part of the post.

You have to smile when one of the commentators said, about Powell, "he's not that kind of player" ?? Clearly he IS that kind of player. Whatever it was that caused him to do something stupid, it was Powell and Powell alone that chose to put in a "crusher" and it seems ridiculous that he will be playing for Wigan today (and that it wasn't a straight red).

I think maybe the big occasion brings out "that kind pf player" in him, correct me if I am wrong I seem to remember he had a short history of attacking the knee joint a few seasons back. Maybe something is dormant in him to do this kind of stuff because generally he is just a tackler and doesn't do anything special or creative compared to other no 9's.
Hopefully Matty Peet sorts it out, seems a decent coach wanting to play more Rugby and reduce any Thugby intentions.

[quote="Jason65"] Who is this Wigan fan (wigoon as you like to put it) because if it is me I must be the second one as you have been calling someone else for years.]
No its one of my Wigan mates who I accused of being Newtons love child, my wigoon mate loves all this thugby stuff and we find his comments hilarious especially when I tell him he isn't a Wigan Fan he is a sort of a Wigoon Fan.
The original Wigoons Fan term was founded by Wigan Athletic Fans when they were in the Premiership and certain rugby fans wanted them to get relegated and go bust so that there is only one team in Wigan.

You may not ‘hate’ Wigan but your bias and determination to find fault shine through.
99% of posters on the Wigan forum agree that the Powell crusher was a bad one and worthy of a long ban. All teams have the odd loose cannon amongst their fans. It was the worst crusher I’ve seen since Ferres on Gildart (for which he got 6 games and ruled Gildart out for months). He may have intended it, he may of just been trying to slam him to the floor and got it wrong. We can’t judge that, only Powell will know. Either way he at least had the decency to apologise. When Maguire came to Wigan Powell was a bit of a grub but he has removed that from his game. He made a mistake for which he will rightly get punished.
Take your comment about Smithies for example, him and Knowles were like two rooking stags, both as bad as each other. You can’t reasonably criticise one and not the other.
As the disciplinary proves St Helens were the grubbier team on Friday with 6 instances of foul play to Wigan’s 4.

Smithies was leading with the head most of the game and it wasn’t just with Knowles it was with others. I,m pretty sure he had form for head butting and a crusher tackle and got punished for it. There was also an instance of putting his studs on Lussicks head which for some reason didn’t get picked up by the disciplinary maybe Ben Flower was on the panel over the weekend. https://www.totalrl.com/morgan-smithies ... y-charges/
