The match review panel have reviewed and banned players- Players wont actually be banned until next week and will be free to play on Monday so as to give them chance to appeal. Those who are to go to tribunal can also play. Ok fair enough I understand the necessity to allow an appeal….. So why bother doing it now? Why not just review all the matches after the Easter period. It’s just yet another example of amateur behaviour from the RFL. It p*sses off fans when players who “should” be banned are actually playing against their side, potentially playing a part in a match winning try. Instead of penalising teams it gives them an unfair advantage and a bit of a heads up in a congested fixture period where they know a player isn’t going to be playing next week so will play them this week and give a different player a rest in their place on Monday. Stupid idea.

It was an awful 'tackle' and there will surely be a ban but to suggest Powell 'tried to end a young kids career' is just inflammatory.

He’s should sit out the next 8 IF there is any consistency. But we cannot know intent

Does the fact that the match review panel pick out everything that looks like there might be a problem, then decide whether to charge or not ,means we have done away with the on report call?

Why has Smithies not been brought up to the disciplinary for going in with the head did it on 3 occasions in the derby, first one was on Knowles second one on LMS, third one on Makinson. Think he has also got previous for head butting, the bloke is a grub.

so after reviewing the game there was 4 instances of foul play by Wigan ,1 results in a lengthy ban (deserved). 6 instances by St Helens 1 resulting in a ban (deserved) . That sums it up.

You've forgot to add the Wigan Thugby Tolerance factor though of 0.5, quite suprised ISA kept his cool and behaved himself. I,m assuming the coach Peet is trying to reduce the amount of grubiness in his team and will take time to switch those Wigoon Players brain cells.
P.S. Saw your post that you deleted by the way, that was a good move.
