As you've mentioned Shaul,Bowden, Reynolds and Johnstone should be released. Ma'u too for me. Mini and Sika went 1 season too long, Manu would probably fall into that category if we extended.

I'd release Houghton and try and sign a hooker/half from aus. Someone in the Nikorima mould and probably keep Gale.

We should be keeping an eye on Jack Broadbent and Tee Ritson too.

What is he 2 games back in from injury and has played well imo on both occasions, running the ball in hard and strong in defence.

Rather him go a season early than a season late.

Hes 34 this season (I think), a quota player and probably one of the top earners. He picks up his fair share of niggles too.

Thank him for his efforts and let him go.

His stats are far more impressive than Reynolds and be cheaper wage as well as freeing a quota spot. He d bring the support play we've missed since Kelly left.

Fair to say I’ve watched Trueman as much as anyone.
Unfortunately, he just hasn’t turned into the player everyone thought he might.
His issue is that he goes missing. A lot. He’s just anonymous in most games. For every good game he has, he has 10 when he does absolutely nothing.
Most of the time he looks like he doesn’t want the ball - he’s very good at hiding in the opposition’s 40, which is worrying given it’s when he should be demanding the ball.
I’d be happy to see him leave if we can replace him with a consistent half back.

I must of caught him on his good days then, always looked pretty tidy to me and does the little things right, popped up with some great trys through his support play already this season, personally think your being harsh on the lad. I think he d thrive in our team.

7 appearances
4 tries
6 assists

Not too shabby

Tbf to Nottinghamtiger I don't think he's come here to poop stir. If you look on casforum he's only repeating what everyone is saying.

The flip side is he has had have back issues for the last few seasons, maybe this has effected his performances, stats wise this season he looks like an upgrade on Reynolds.

When was the last time we signed a young international British half? We should be able to build a team around Trueman

Not sure on Mellor, struggled at Leeds, although when you look at some of the players released by Leeds that have done really well and how poor Sezer looks, maybe a change would do him some good, also think Trueman needs a chance of club, certainly an upgrade in all areas on Reynolds.

I'm just glad we are recruiting, makes me feel more positive about our future.

If Mellor is signed as cover I can handle it.

If he's a starter then it's a massive downgrade.

I wonder if we release Ma'u, we'll move Lane to backrow and sign another middle. Then we could use Mellor off the bench to cover backrow, centre or 13, taking JJ place in the squad.

Id rather sign players to improve our 17, not sure Mellor would, Truman definitely would improve our first team.

Was highly rated at Huddersfield I think though.
