A word from Adam Pearson in the ear of this coach would help.
would also be worth asking why Johnstone is continually selected as an extra forward rather than as as an interchange for Houghton particularly given the size of Huddersfields pack.

Lovodua HAS to spell Houghton from now on. Our 6 and 7 are fit, play them there. Get Joey in where he was signed to play. Bringing on a fresh hooker would make a massive difference.

Once Carlos is back, play Griffin in the backrow, makes so many meters, but looks to have lost a yard of pace after his injury.

I agree with that. Griffin plays the game as a second row anyway, might aswell play him there and use a centre who can actually score when they pick up a loose ball 40 yards out with nobody in front of them.

Chris71 wrote:Sorry but Houghton looked spent and out in his feet halfway through second half and it showed. We can’t continue flogging him for 80 mins and expect any different outcome. Thought his distribution left a lot to be desired.

Don’t be sorry, just be concerned about the rest of our players fitness if you think Houghton was spent , he still managed to be first in to the tackle from 60-80 mins, I wouldn’t mind if we was constantly on the attack and our problems are from dummy half. But complaining about Houghtons fitness and defence is beyond a joke. We where terrible today, picking out Houghton in that performance I really can’t get

Too many went missing, poor all round and poor coaching and selections. Very little in positives to be honest.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Also think we look unfit this year, Satae particularly, should be on the bench against Rovers. Evans although not great took 3 drives one set, Satae needs to up his workrate.

Might give the match replay a miss then...

It sounded pretty poor following it on twitter

Chris71 wrote:No one’s blaming Houghton but it’s the tactic/game plan that’s all wrong in expecting Houghton to play 80 mins week in week out without it being detrimental to the team. He can’t do it anymore and it’s pretty clear we need to spell him

How is it clear, how many tackles did he miss, how many tackles did he make compared to the rest of the team, making statements like he needs to spelled, what does it take for Houghton to be taking off etc etc, suggests Houghtons at fault, playing poorly, etc, yes blame the coach, but let’s not make a scape goat out of Houghton for such a poor team performance
